The Rangers will recall Brady Skjei and he will make his NHL debut vs. the Oilers.

Skjei, 21, was a first round pick (28th overall) in the 2012 NHL Draft. The 6-foot-3, 206 lbs. defenseman will make his NHL debut with veteran Dan Boyle as he D-partner. In his first full season with Hartford (AHL) he has collected 11 points (2G / 9A) in 27 games, which leads all Wolf Pack defensemen.

Saros leads the Predators onto the ice for warmups.

Saros, 20, was the Predators fourth round pick (99th overall) in 2013. The 5-foot-11 netminder has gone 8-2-0 with a 2.40 GAA and .919 SV% 10 games into his first season with Milwaukee (AHL). Saros has spent the last two years in the SM-liiga, he was 13-18-16 with a 2.14 GAA and .929 SV% in 47 games with HPK Hameenlinna last year.

Marchessault will be in the Lightning lineup on Monday.

Marchessault has failed to record a point in two games with the Lightning this season. During his time in the AHL, Marchessault has nine points (6G / 3A) in 11 games with Syracuse. He will likely play on an all AHL fourth line with Mike Blunden and Matt Taormina, who will be serving as a seventh defenseman.

Jonathan Marchessault
The Lightning have recalled Jonathan Marchessault from Syracuse (AHL).

Marchessault, 24, has been recalled because Brian Boyle has been battling an undisclosed injury. If Boyle can’t play on Thursday, Marchessault will make his season debut. He has recorded three goals and two assists in seven games with Syracuse this season.

Josi (lower-body) will not play on Saturday.

Josi will be held out of the season finale despite playing all 81 games leading up to today. I’m sure playing all 82 games doesn’t mean much when you can take a much needed day-off before the playoffs. Josi had a splendid season, scoring 15 goals (tied for 6th among defenemen) and 55 points (t-5th).

The Oilers have assigned Jordan Oesterle to Oklahoma City (AHL).

Oesterle, 22, had one assist in six games with the Oilers during his call-up. His return to the AHL suggests that Nikita Nikitin could be back in the lineup on Thursday in Pittsburgh. Oesterle heads back to the AHL where he has 21 points (6G / 15A) in 49 games on the Oklahoma City blue line.

Haula (upper-body) will not play on Thursday.

Haula was injured on an illegal hit to the head from John Moore on Monday. Moore was suspended five games for the hit and now Haula will miss his second game in a row. The Wild announced that he did not suffer a concussion, but he is clearly too sore the play, regardless of what the injury is. He is day-to-day.
