GM Chuck Fletcher said that he wants "to make sure we’re giving Joel all the ability to be the player he can become. He’s only 19. He’s been a big part of our team but he’s going to be an even bigger part of our future…I have no doubt he’ll be back with us and help us.” This move also keeps Farabee available for the AHL playoffs.
