Drouin missed Sunday’s game in Carolina, but could return to the lineup on Thursday. Drouin skated on the Lightning’s second line with Valtteri Filppula and Brayden Point on Wednesday and is somewhere between probable and questionable for tomorrow’s contest.
Krug was absent from the Bruins’ morning skate on Monday, but head coach Claude Julien said that Krug will try and give it a go tonight. Krug has had a hard time finding the back of the net in his first 25 games, scoring just one goal on 77 shots, but it’s only a matter of time before the puck starts bouncing the right way for the talented defenseman.

Drouin was not on the ice for the Lightning’s morning skate and will not play Monday vs. the Panthers. Head coach Jon Cooper said that he hopes that Drouin will be ready to return soon.
Drouin left Tuesday’s game with a head injury after being hit by Islanders’ defenseman Calvin de Haan. Drouin missed the morning skate and is still being evaluated by doctors. Drouin is day-to-day and will be replaced by J.T. Brown tonight.

Krug is recovering from offseason shoulder surgery and is expected to see his first preseason action on Tuesday. Krug is coming off of a career-high 44 points (4G / 40A) in 2015-16 and if all goes well on Tuesday, he should be ready for the season opener.
What a crazy season for Drouin. He was sent down, didn’t report, got suspended, didn’t get traded and now he’s back with the Lightning. During his time in Syracuse, Drouin collected 11 goals, two assists and a minus-9 rating. With Steven Stamkos and Ryan Callahan out, the Lightning need some help up front. He has eight points (2G / 6A) in 19 NHL games this season.
Sundqvist, 22, was a healthy scratch last night and returns to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton where he has 17 points (5G / 12A) in 44 games this season. He has just one assist in 12 games with Pittsburgh this year.
Krug left late in Saturday’s game, but will be in the lineup tonight vs. the Blue Jackets. Krug has picked up four assists in 10 games this month, including one assist in the Bruins win over the Blue Jackets last Tuesday.
