Comrie spent the entire 2019 season with the Manitoba Moose (AHL), going 25-20-2 with a 2.69 GAA and .917 SV% in 47 games. Comrie has appeared in five career NHL games since 2017 but will open 2020 in Manitoba yet again.
The Rangers acquired the RFA defenseman from the Jets for Neal Pionk and a 2019 first-round pick on June 18th and signed him through the 2025-26 season. Trouba is coming off of the best year of his career, posting 50 points (8G / 42A) in 82 games with Winnipeg. Trouba immediately becomes the Rangers best defenseman and should see more minutes than he ever saw with the Jets.
Nedeljkovic, who is viewed as one of the best goaltending prospects in the NHL, is coming off of an outstanding 2018-19 AHL campaign. Nedeljkovic led the AHL in wins (34) and GAA (2.26) en route to being named the league’s best netminder. He wasn’t done there, Nedeljkovic went 10-4-0 with a 2.34 GAA and .916 SV% in the AHL playoffs to help guide Charlotte to a Calder Cup Championship. With Petr Mrazek and Curtis McElhinney both likely leaving in free agency, Nedeljkovic could see a lot of games at the NHL next year.
Trouba is a restricted free agent on July 1st but gives the Rangers a bonafide first-pairing defenseman, something they played the entire 2018-19 season without. After missing a combined 49 games in 2017 and 2018, Trouba appeared in all 82 games last year and set a new career-high with 50 points (8G / 42A). Trouba will log massive minutes for the Rangers next season and helps accelerate their rebuild, which was also aided by landing the No.2 overall pick in this year’s draft.
Skinner was set to become an unrestricted free agent on July 1st but is now signed through the 2026-27 season. Skinner set a new career-high and led the Sabres with 40 goals and ranked third on the team with 63 points in 82 games. Skinner spent 70 percent of his 5v5 minutes on the top-line with Jack Eichel and the duo outscored the opposition 53-to-43 (per naturalstattrick.com).
Wennberg has appeared in four games in the second round but has averaged just 10:30 TOI and is expected to be replaced by Markus Hannikainen (undisclosed) on the fourth line in Game 6.
With Petr Mrazek out, Nedeljkovic comes up to serve as Curtis McElhinney’s backup on Wednesday. Nedeljkovic was excellent this season, going 34-14-1 with a 2.26 GAA and .916 SV% in 51 AHL games and was 3-1 with a 2.00 GAA and .923 SV% in four AHL playoff games before being called-up. It remains to be seen how long he will remain with Carolina.
Price allowed two goals on 24 shots in the Canadiens win over the Lightning on Tuesday. Price has won three of his last four starts while allowing 11 goals on 113 shots (.902 SV%). The Canadiens will obviously stick with Price down the stretch as they try to leap-frog the Penguins, Hurricanes or Blue Jackets for the final Wild Card spot in the Eastern Conference.

Price has gone 0-2-0 with a 3.50 GAA and .904 SV% in two games vs. the Lightning this season.
Comrie will be making his first NHL start of the season. The 23-year-old, former second-round pick was 23-16-2 with a 2.75 GAA and .916 SV% in 45 AHL games before being called-up after Laurent Brossoit got hurt. Comrie is 2-2-0 with a 4.00 GAA and .880 SV% in four career NHL appearances.
