Toffoli is expected to be a healthy scratch on Wednesday.

Toffoli has not registered a point in four straight games and was an ugly minus-4 during the Kings' loss in Chicago on Sunday. Toffoli rotated on the Kings' fourth line in Tuesday's practice, suggesting that he will come out of the lineup vs. the Canucks.

Price will start Wednesday in Arizona.

Price stopped 29 of 31 shots in the Canadiens victory over the Maple Leafs last Saturday. Price has won three of his last four and tonight he faces a Coyotes team that he is 11-1-0 against in his career. However, these are not your dad's Coyotes, they are 7-3-1 while averaging 3.00 goals for (t-17th) and 2.18 goals against (2nd) to start 2019-20. Price comes in at 2-0-1 with a .912 SV% on the road.

Price will start Thursday vs. the Sharks.

Price allowed two goals on 34 shots in the Canadiens win in St. Louis last Saturday. Keith Kinkaid started on Sunday, so Price comes into Thursday's game very well-rested. Price has won three of his last four starts (3-1-0) while posting a 2.02 GAA, .922 SV% and one shutout. San Jose comes into Thursday's game at 3-5-1 and still ranks in the bottom third of the NHL in goal-scoring (2.67 GF/gm).

The Red Wings have recalled Evgeny Svechnikov from Grand Rapids (AHL).

Svechnikov has scored one goal with three assists (four points) in three games with the Griffins this season. He has been called-up once already but has not made his season debut with the Red Wings. With Adam Erne out, there's a hole in the Red Wings' middle-6 but it's unclear whether or not Svechnikov will fill it on Tuesday. He has four points (2G / 2A) in 16 career NHL games.

Price will start Saturday afternoon in St. Louis.

Price stopped all 17 shots that he faced in the Canadiens shutout win over the Wild on Thursday. It was about as easy of a shutout as you will see in the NHL and marked the first game this season that Price has allowed less than three goals. The veteran netminder has a tough afternoon matchup in St. Louis and Price comes in at 3-2-1 with a 2.79 GAA and .906 SV% in six starts.

Price will make his fourth consecutive start on Thursday.

Price gave up three goals on 22 shots in the Canadiens loss to the Lightning on Tuesday. Through five starts, Price has allowed at least three goals in every game, totalling in a 3.33 GAA and .896 SV%. It’s not a good streak but a home matchup with the Wild is a good opportunity to end it. Minnesota is 1-5-0 and are averaging just 2.33 goals per game (t-26th).

Price will start Tuesday vs. the Lightning.

Price allowed three goals on 29 shots in the Canadiens win over the Blues on Saturday. Price has surrendered at least three goals in all four of his starts this season, posting a 3.38 GAA and .901 SV% in his first four starts. The veteran netminder was 1-2-0 with a 3.01 GAA and .907 SV% in three starts against the Lightning a season ago.

Price will start Saturday vs. the Blues

Price gave up three goals on 33 shots in the Canadiens loss to the Red Wings on Thursday. It has been a difficult start to 2019-20 for Price, who has given up at least three goals in each one of his starts—3.51 GAA and .903 SV%. He faced the Blues twice last season, going 1-1-0 with a 3.01 GAA and .891 SV%.

Price will start Thursday vs. the Red Wings.

Price allowed five goals on 37 shots in the Canadiens come-from-behind win in Toronto last Saturday. Price, who was given last night off, has given up eight goals on 80 shots (.900 SV%) in two starts but draws a great matchup vs. the Red Wings—Price was 2-0-0 with a 1.00 GAA and .937 SV% in two starts vs. Detroit last year.

The Red Wings have recalled Evgeny Svechnikov from Grand Rapids (AHL).

Svechnikov had his 2018-19 season cut short after undergoing right knee surgery in mid-October. He started the season with the Griffins and had three points (1G / 2A) in the first game of the season. The 2015 first-round pick (No.19 overall) has four points (2G / 2A) in 16 career NHL games.

Price will start Saturday in Toronto.

Price was peppered in the Canadiens season opener, stopping 40 of the 43 shots he faced in their 4-3 shootout loss. It was great to see Price stand-tall but the Canadiens will need to be sharper defensively to give Price a fighting chance. Tonight he faces a lethal Maple Leafs team, that he was 0-1-2 with a 3.63 GAA and .882 SV% against last season.

Price will start the Canadiens season opener in Carolina.

In 2018-19, Price was able to return to the 60-start, 30-win club for the fourth time in his career. As soon as it looked like Price’s career was on the downswing, he finished t-11th in SV% (.918). He will make his first start of 2019-20 vs. the Hurricanes, who he was 1-1-1 with a 2.67 GAA and .914 SV% against last season.

The Coyotes have claimed Eric Comrie off of waivers from the Jets.

Comrie was a second-round pick of the Jets in 2013 and has appeared in just five NHL games since. Last year he was 25-20-2 with a 2.69 GAA, .917 SV% and two shutouts in Manitoba (AHL) last year. Comrie provides a little extra goaltending depth for the Coyotes, who had to dip into the minor leagues last year because of a long-term Antti Raanta injury.
