San Jose Sharks News

Price will start Wednesday vs. the Senators.

Price stopped 37 of 38 shots in the Canadiens’ win over the Blue Jackets on Monday. Since returning to the Canadiens’ crease, Price has gone 2-0-0 while turning aside 73 of 74 shots (.987 SV%). After a terrible start to the season, Price looks a lot better now that he is fully healthy and tonight he will look to win his third straight against an Ottawa team that has lost six in a row (0-5-1).

Price will start Monday vs. the Blue Jackets.

Price stopped all 36 shots that he faced in the Canadiens shutout win over the Sabres on Saturday. It was an impressive return to the crease for Price, who will look to turn his season around after struggling before he missed 10-games due to injury. Tonight he is expected to face a Blue Jackets team that is 7-3-1 in 11 road games this season.

Price (lower-body) will return to the Canadiens crease on Saturday.

Price has missed the last 10 games with a lower-body injury, but returns to the crease tonight vs. the Sabres. Price had an abysmal start to the season by his standards, but some of that can likely be attributed to him playing through an injury. Price returns to the Canadiens at 3-7-1 with a 3.77 GAA and .877 SV% in 11 starts—but one of those wins came against the Sabres, where he stopped 43 of 45 shots on opening night.

Price (lower-body) returned to practice on Monday and will travel with the team on their two-game road trip.

Price has missed the last eight games with the lower-body injury but could return to the crease on Wednesday. Charlie Lindgren will start on Tuesday, but monitor Price’s status heading into Wednesday’s game in Nashville.

Price (lower-body) is taking a couple days off; insists he will be back “soon.”

Price said today that he hurt himself in warmups in Minnesota on November 2nd and said he felt fine during the game but was hurting when he work up the next day. Price added that he would play tonight if it were a playoff game, which is a huge positive for Canadiens fans. Don’t expect to see him this week but it sounds like he should be back next week.

The Avalanche have acquired Shane Bowers in a three-way trade with the Senators and Predators.

Bowers, 18, was a first round pick (No.28 overall) this summer and is currently in his first season at Boston University, where he has four goals and two assists in 10 games. Bowers is at least a year or two away from making it to the NHL.

Price is day-to-day with a lower-body injury.

Price, who has not looked like himself so far this season, will miss some time with what is being called a minor lower-body injury. With Price hurt, Charlie Lindgren is expected to be recalled from Laval (AHL) to serve as Al Montoya’s backup on Saturday. Consider Price as questionable for Sunday’s game in Chicago.

Price will start Thursday in Minnesota.

Price allowed four goals on 26 shots in the Canadiens’ win over the Rangers last Saturday. Al Montoya started Monday’s win in Ottawa, so they’ll come back to Price tonight in Minnesota. Price had an ugly 3.64 GAA and .883 SV% in the month of October and has a tough matchup tonight vs. a Wild team that sits 12th in the NHL in scoring (3.10 GF/PG).

The Senators have sent Colin White to Belleville (AHL).

White missed the start of the season with a fractured wrist that he suffered in the preseason but it looks like he is ready to return to action, but that will happen in the AHL instead of the NHL. He will make his season debut on November 1st and will likely be brought back to the Senators at some point this season.
