Reimer’s injury was suffered in practice earlier in the week, but it was not believed to be serious. Despite taking part in Friday’s practice, he was held off of the ice this morning and will not play tonight vs. the Capitals. Jonathan Bernier will start and Garret Sparks has been recalled to serve as the backup.

The Flyers have recalled Nick Cousins from Lehigh Valley (AHL).

Cousins, 22, has 18 points (5G / 13A) in 15 games with Lehigh Valley this season. He will make his season debut on Friday, replacing Taylor Leier, who was sent down. He will centre the fourth line with Colin McDonald and Scott Laughton on his wings.

Ullmark allowed two goals on 26 shots in the Sabres 2-1 loss to the Blues on Monday. Ullmark has given up just two goals per game in his last five starts, but has lost three straight in the process. Ullmark has solidified the Sabres’ crease, but the offence needs to start clicking. He comes into play tonight with a 2.28 GAA and .925 SV% in nine games this season.

Reimer left Tuesday's practice with an undisclosed injury.

Reimer was on the ice for about 25 minutes before heading to the dressing room following a brief discussion with the trainer. Reimer has been red-hot and if he were to miss time it would be devastating for the Leafs’ recent hot streak. Toronto doesn’t play until Saturday, so expect him to be reevaluated in the next few days.

Ullmark has allowed two goals in each of his last four starts and carries a 2.31 GAA and .926 SV% in eight games this season. He is the Sabres’ clear No. 1 at this point, but will be in tough again tonight with the Blues in town. St. Louis is banged up, but they still represent a formidable opponent.

He has allowed a single goal in his last three games and will face the Bruins again tonight. Reimer has gone 3-2-2 with a 2.42 GAA and .929 SV% at home this season.

Over the winning streak Reimer has posted a 1.36 GAA and .960 SV%. He will take on a Bruins team that ranks third in the NHL in scoring.
