The Ducks have acquired David Perron and Adam Clendening from the Penguins for Carl Hagelin.

Perron will be a unrestricted free agent at the end of the season. Despite playing the majority of the season with Sidney Crosby, Perron had just 16 points (4G / 12A) in 43 games. He could slide into Hagelin’s spot in the Ducks top six, but he remains a low-end wing option in standard 12-team leagues.

Talbot starts Thursday in San Jose.

Talbot allowed two goals on 14 shots in the Oilers loss to the Panthers on Sunday. He has lost hie last two games after allowing a combined five goals on 40 shots (.875 SV%). Cam Talbot
van Riemsdyk will miss 6-8 weeks with a non-displaced fracture in his left foot.

van Riemsdyk suffered the injury in Saturday’s blowout loss in San Jose. JVR leads the Maple Leafs in points with 29 (14G / 15A), but they’ll be without him for at least the next six weeks. Six weeks would have him returning in time for their game on February 23rd vs. Nashville—which means he’ll miss the next 17 games.

James van Riemsdyk
Gibson leads the Ducks onto the ice for warmups.

Gibson allowed three goals on 28 shots in the Ducks win over the Blues on Friday. Gibson has been victorious in five of his last six starts while posting a 1.56 GAA and .933 SV%.
