Grundstrom has been a healthy scratch for the last four games so they send him back to Ontario to get some playing time. Grundstrom had 10 points (3G / 7A) in 13 games with the Reign last year.

Bjornfot was the Kings' first-round pick this summer and played in the first three games of the season but was a healthy scratch in the last four. It makes no sense to have an 18-year-old sitting in the press box, so they send him back to Ontario where he will log big minutes.

Prokhorkin was a fourth-round pick of the Kings in 2012 and seems ready to finally make his NHL debut this week. The 6-foot-1, 195 lbs. Russain forward almost made the team out of training camp but ultimately started the season in Ontario, where he had two assists in four games. Prokhorkin replaces Carl Grundstrom on the roster and will likely slot into the Kings' bottom-6.

Lagesson was a fourth-round pick in 2014 and has bounced all over North America and Sweden since then. The 6-foot-2, 207 lbs. defenseman played two years at UMass-Amherst before returning to his native country to play one year with Djurgardens IF and then came back to North America where he's been with the Condors. Lagesson had 27 points (8G / 19A) in 67 AHL games last year and has one assist in two games this season.

Gibbons did not have a point in two games with the Hurricanes and returns to the AHL, where he has one goal and three assists (four points) in four games.

Connauton did not appear in a game with the Avalanche during his call-up. With Ian Cole back from offseason hip surgery, Connauton was no longer needed as a reserve defenseman. He heads back to the Eagles, where he had no points, two PIMS and a minus-4 rating in two games.




Sautner split his 2018-19 campaign between the AHL and NHL. The 25-year-old defenseman had one assist in 17 NHL games and eight points (3G / 5A) in 31 games with Utica. He will likely serve as an extra defenseman as the Canucks get prepared to head out east on a road trip.
