Grubauer was the first goalie off the ice at Seattle's morning skate.

Despite a 4-2 loss to the Anaheim Ducks in his most recent game, Grubauer played well, saving 27 of 30 shots (.900 SV%) to continue his resurgent 2025-26 season. The 34-year-old German goalie has an excellent 2.11 GAA and .932 SV% in his last 10 games (6-2-2). The Kraken enter the action on Tuesday as +108 home underdogs against a Washington Capitals team that has lost five of its last six games (1-4-1).

Rust has been suspended for three games for an illegal check to the head against Vancouver’s Brock Boeser.

Rust delivered an illegal check to the head of Vancouver's Bryan Rust in the final seconds of a 3-2 win on Sunday. The 33-year-old Rust was only issued a two-minute penalty on the play, but has subsequently been given a three-game suspension. Rust has struggled lately, with just three points (2G / 1A) in his last nine games, and will not be eligible to return until February 3rd against the New York Islanders.

Lyubushkin (undisclosed) will be out vs. St. Louis on Tuesday.

Lyubushkin exited Friday's 3-2 win over the St. Louis Blues in the second period because of an undisclosed injury and will not play on Tuesday. The 31-year-old defenseman is averaging 16:10 time-on-ice and has seven points (1G / 6A) in 39 games this season. Kyle Capobianco will draw into the lineup as Lybushkin's replacement.

Capobianco will draw back into Dallas' lineup vs. St. Louis on Tuesday.

Ilya Lyubushkin will not play on Tuesday due to an undisclosed injury, allowing Capobianco to re-enter the lineup as his replacement. The 28-year-old Capobianco is averaging 12:10 time-on-ice and has five points (2G / 3A) in 26 games this season.

Kyle Capobianco
Oettinger will start in St. Louis on Tuesday.

Oettinger saved 20 of 22 shots (.909 SV%) in Friday's 3-2 win over the St. Louis Blues and is hopeful to record a third consecutive win on Tuesday, something he has not done in over six weeks. The 27-year-old Oettinger has lost five of his last nine games (3-4-2), posting a pedestrian 2.93 GAA and .879 SV%. That said, the Stars enter Tuesday's contest as -152 road favorites against a Blues team on a four-game losing streak (0-3-1).

Landeskog (upper-body) has been on the ice for a few days and is still hopeful to return for the Olympics.

Landeskog had amped up his workouts, returned to some on-ice drills, and is still targeting a return to play for Sweden at the Winter Olympics. The 33-year-old Landeskog has 22 points (7G / 15A) in 41 games this season and started to show signs of his old self before his injury, with 15 points (5G / 10A) in his last 19 games.

Gabriel Landeskog
Demko will undergo hip surgery and is out for the remainder of the 2025-26 season.

Demko has not played in over two weeks and has been officially ruled out for the remainder of the season after opting to undergo hip surgery. This is the latest in a myriad of injuries for the goalie, who has been limited to 32 or fewer games in three of the last four seasons. The Canucks will likely continue to lean on Kevin Lankinen as their starting goalie for the rest of the season.

Thatcher Demko
Binnington will start vs. Dallas on Tuesday.

After a dazzling 26-save shutout in a 2-0 win over the Montreal Canadiens on January 3rd, Binnington has returned to his struggles between the pipes, posting an ugly 4.54 GAA and .830 SV% in his last four games (0-4-0). He allowed three goals on 19 shots (.842 SV%) in Friday's 3-2 loss to the Dallas Stars, but has typically been excellent against them in his career, posting a 2.24 GAA and .917 SV% in 17 career games (5-8-2). The Blues enter Tuesday's contest as +137 home underdogs against a Stars team that has lost four of its last six games (2-4-0).

Jordan Binnington
Toews (upper-body) will remain out vs. Ottawa on Wednesday and is considered day-to-day.

Toews has been sidelined for over three weeks because of an upper-body injury, but seems poised to re-enter the lineup at some point during Colorado's upcoming three-game road trip. The league-leading Avalanche has played its worst hockey without Toews in the lineup, going 4-4-2, and will be eager for him to return. The 31-year-old Toews has 13 points (1G / 12A) in 40 games this season.

Devon Toews
Knight is in the starter's crease at Chicago's morning skate.

Knight had a rough outing on Saturday against his former team, the Florida Panthers, allowing four goals on 24 shots (.833 SV%) in a 5-1 loss. That said, he has been a stabilizing factor between the pipes for the Blackhawks in recent weeks, posting a solid 2.44 GAA and .919 SV% in his last seven games (4-3-0). That said, the Blackhawks enter Tuesday's contest as +175 road underdogs against a Minnesota Wild team that has lost four of its last eight games (4-2-2).

Spencer Knight
Wood (lower-body) will return vs. Philadelphia on Wednesday.

Mateychuk has been sidelined for over two weeks because of an upper-body injury, but he will return to the lineup on Wednesday against the Philadelphia Flyers. Denton Mateychuk
Ullmark (personal) is still not ready to return to game action with Ottawa but is getting closer to starting.

Ullmark dressed for the first time in nearly a month, serving as Ottawa's backup goalie on Sunday in their 7-1 win over the Vegas Golden Knights. He is not ready to return to action yet, but given that Mads Sogaard was assigned to Belleville (AHL) earlier today, his return is likely imminent.

Linus Ullmark

Wallstedt was the hottest goalie in the NHL for six weeks into mid-December, posting an elite 1.53 GAA and .954 SV% in 10 games (9-1-0). However, the 23-year-old rookie goalie has struggled immensely ever since, posting an ugly 3.91 GAA and .872 SV% in his last eight games (2-4-2). Minnesota returns to action on Tuesday as a sizeable -204 home favorite against a Chicago Blackhawks team that has scored two or fewer goals in five of their last seven games (2-4-1).

St. Ivany underwent successful surgery on his left hand and is expected to be out for up to eight weeks.
