Seattle Kraken News

Grubauer will start against the Blues on Wednesday.

Seattle has snuck their way into a Wild Card spot after a 7-3-0 run, and will turn to Grubauer on Wednesday against the St. Louis Blues. The 34-year-old Grubauer entered the Olympic break on an outstanding run, posting a 1.99 GAA and .933 SV%, but has not been able to recapture that momentum since returning, allowing eight goals on 62 combined shots (.871 SV%) in two games (0-2-0). The Kraken enter the action on Wednesday as -140 home favourites against a Blues team that defeated them 5-1 last week.

Olofsson has cleared waivers and been reassigned to Coachella Valley (AHL).

Olofsson was drafted by the Minnesota Wild in the second round of the 2013 NHL Entry Draft, but has not been able to establish himself at the NHL level, playing only 63 total games. The 31-year-old defenseman has 16 points (2G / 14A) in 29 games with the Coachella Valley Firebirds (AHL) this season.

Lindgren (undisclosed) returned to Seattle's practice in a non-contact jersey and is considered day-to-day.

Lindgren did not play in Seattle's previous game, but appears to be nearing a returning after practicing in a limited capacity on Monday. The 28-year-old defenseman is averaging 18:30 time-on-ice and has nine points (2G / 7A) in 57 games this season.

Daccord will start vs. Carolina on Monday.

After being Seattle's undisputed starting goalie the previous two seasons, Daccord has wavered a bit in 2025-26. That said, he saved 27 of 28 shots (.964 SV%) in his most recent outing, a 5-1 win over the Vancouver Canucks, and finds himself amid his best stretch of the season, posting a 2.20 GAA and .926 SV% in his last six games (5-1-0). The Kraken enter the action on Monday as +155 road underdogs against a red-hot Carolina Hurricanes team that is on a five-game winning streak.

Grubauer will start in St. Louis on Thursday.

Grubauer will make his first post-Olympic start on Thursday after serving as Joey Daccord's backup in last night's loss to the Stars. Grubauer was in the midst of a bounce-back campaign prior to the Olympic break, posting an 11-6-3 record and a .916 SV% across 22 appearances. He and the Kraken enter action on Thursday as slight underdogs at +120 on the money line.

Daccord will start in Dallas on Wednesday.

The Kraken have been doing a lot of rotating in goal this season, but it will somewhat notably be Daccord between the pipes when they return from the Olympic break in Dallas on Wednesday. To his credit, Daccord really seemed to be finding his game prior to the break, posting a perfect 4-0-0 record and a .931 SV% across his last four starts. He'll have to be at his best again on Wednesday, as the Kraken enter a difficult road matchup at +140 on the money line.

Kakko (undisclosed) is listed as a scratch for Wednesday's game in Dallas.

It's unclear why Kakko is unavailable on Wednesday, though it's possible it's simply an extra day's rest after the Olympics, but the Kraken gave no indication he would be absent prior to listing him as a scratch on the official roster report. Kakko has six goals and 15 assists in 40 games this season.
