Matthews has 20 goals, 47 points, 173 SOG, 14 PIMs, 17 PPP and a +17 plus/minus through 41 games for the Maple Leafs but will miss his second straight game due to a wrist injury. . Head coach Sheldon Keefe said it was "something that has been bothering him for a while.”

McMann had eight goals, seven assists, six PIMs and a +4 plus/minus with the Toronto Marlies (AHL) and was recalled to the Toronto Maple Leafs for the first time in his career Tuesday. With Auston Matthews missing Wednesday due to an undisclosed injury, he will be making his NHL debut.

McMann has eight goals, seven assists, six PIMs and a +4 plus/minus with the Toronto Marlies (AHL) but has been recalled from the Toronto Maple Leafs for the first time in his career. If the 26-year-old sees game action, it will be his NHL debut.

Stolarz will start Friday vs. the Sharks.

Stolarz stopped seven of eight shots (.875 SV%) in a relief appearance the last time he saw action on Dec. 9th vs. San Jose. The Ducks' backup netminder has struggled when called upon this season, with his 2-5-0 record, 4.02 GAA and .886 SV%. He will take on San Jose, who just snapped a three-game losing skid with a 5-2 win over Dallas in their last game.

William Nylander missed Wednesday's practice due to illness but will play Thursday vs. Seattle.

Nylander is having a phenomenal season leading the high-powered Maple Leafs in both goals (22) and points (45) across 38 games and will play Thursday after missing practice Wednesday due to an illness. He will look to continue to be a key contributor to Toronto's offence, which is seventh in the NHL in goals per game (3.42).

William Nylander
Morgan Rielly is set to return to the Maple Leafs' lineup Thursday vs. Arizona (knee).

Rielly has not played since Nov. 21st due to a knee injury but is expected to return to the Maple Leafs' lineup Thursday as they take on Arizona. Reilly was playing incredibly before his injury, with 16 assists, 34 SOG and a -1 plus/minus in 20 games played.

Chris Tanev has been activated off the injured reserve and will likely return to action vs. San Jose (upper body).

Tanev has missed the Flames' last four games after taking a shot to the head just over a week ago and will be activated from the injured reserve Tuesday. The stay-at-home defenseman has five assists, 22 SOG and four PIMs through 24 games played.
