Bobrovsky had the night off on Tuesday but will return to the crease on Thursday when the Panthers visit the Los Angeles Kings. The Panthers are in the midst of the best stretch of the season (6-1-0), highlighted by Bobrovsky's five-game winning streak, in which he has saved 117 of 129 shots (.907 SV%), including a shutout. Despite their strong play, the Panthers are still +111 road underdogs against a very strong Kings team that ranks second in the league offensively (4.00 GF / GP).

The Sharks have already been shut out three times this season, held to fewer than two goals an alarming 12 times in only 15 games (2-12-1). Roslovic left the Blue Jackets' previous game vs. the Rangers after 16:17 TOI after blocking a shot and will now miss 4-6 weeks with a fractured ankle. Roslovic played the entire game for the Blue Jackets on Sunday but suffered an undisclosed injury at some point and has since been placed on the injured reserve, meaning he will miss at least one week. Roslovic was off to a strong start this season, tallying eight points (2G / 6A) in 14 games and 29 shots while averaging 16:31 time-on-ice. Kent Johnson, who was sent down to Cleveland (AHL) last week, could be an option to replace Roslovic's offence for the Blue Jackets should they opt to recall him.

Bobrovsky will get the nod against Chicago on Sunday in what shapes up to be an excellent matchup for the two-time Vezina Trophy winner. Bobrovsky has won his last four appearances, and he and the Panthers are favoured at -260 to keep that streak alive on Sunday. The 14-year veteran most recently allowed just two goals on 30 shots enroute to Florida's 5-2 victory over the Hurricanes on Friday. Bobrovsky leads the NHL with seven wins on the season while boasting a .907 SV% and a 2.65 GAA.

McCabe has been out of the lineup since suffering a groin injury after playing only 10 seconds against the Dallas Stars on October 26th. Before his injury, McCabe was averaging 19:33 time-on-ice per night. He is expected to slot onto the Maple Leafs' second defensive pair alongside Mark Giordano just as John Klingberg exits the lineup with an undisclosed injury.

As has been the case most of the season, Bobrovsky has had difficulty with consistency between the pipes. That said, his Panthers teammates have done a formidable job of generating offence and providing him with goal support of late. Despite three sub-.900 SV% efforts, Bobrovsky has not lost in regulation in his last five games (4-0-1), saving 120 of 132 shots in the process (.909 SV%). On Friday, Bobrovsky and the Panthers are +119 home underdogs against a Carolina Hurricanes squad that has won five of their last six (5-1-0).

Myers has been recalled to Tampa Bay for the first time this season from Syracuse (AHL) after scoring a goal and three points in 11 games played in his first season in Tampa in 2022-23. He has spent the early part of 2023-24 in the minors, where he had two assists, 19 PIMs and a +7 plus/minus in nine games played so far. The 26-year-old is entering his sixth NHL season and is expected to replace Zack Bogosian, who was traded to Minnesota on Wednesday.

MacEwen has an assist, two SOG and five PIMs through four games in 2023-24 but will be the odd man out of the Senators' roster as he is a healthy scratch Thursday vs. Vancouver. The 27-year-old bruising right-winger will be replaced by Matthew Highmore, who was brought in from Belleville (AHL) to help kill penalties.

Bobrovsky has followed up on each of his four sub-.900 SV% appearances this season with strong performances and will look to do the same in his 10th start of the season on Wednesday. On Monday, Bobrovsky allowed four goals on 22 shots in a 5-4 overtime victory against the Columbus Blue Jackets, preceded by a 22-save shutout the previous Thursday. Bobrovsky has had an up-and-down season, but all signs point to a promising performance on Wednesday as the Panthers visit a Washington Capitals team that ranks 31st in the league offensively (1.90 GF / GP). The Panthers are -130 road favourites and will look to build on their current 4-1-1 run.

Bobrovsky will return to the crease on Monday to face his former team, the Columbus Blue Jackets. In his most recent game, Bobrovsky saved all 22 shots he faced for his first shutout of the season and is in the midst of a six-game run (4-1-1) that has seen him post a 2.16 GAA and .925 SV%. The Panthers are heavy -219 home favourites on Monday as the Blue Jackets have lost five of their last six games (1-3-2) and have been very poor offensively all season, averaging only 2.55 goals per game.
