Eberle was cut near a quad muscle by a skate blade at practice Wednesday and will not play Thursday vs. Colorado as he is considered day-to-day with the injury. The 33-year-old right-winger had been off to a slow start to begin his 2023-24 season as he has one goal, three assists, 28 SOG, nine PIMs and a -8 plus/minus through 13 games played. Shane Wright and Ryan Winterton will be making their season debuts and replacing Eberle in the Kraken's lineup.

Grubauer will likely get the start on Thursday against his former team, marking his fourth start in the Kraken's last five games. In his last three games (2-1-0), Grubauer has saved 91 of 100 shots (.910 SV%). Grubauer has historically been very good against the Avalanche, most recently leading the Kraken to knock them out in the Western Conference Quarterfinals. The Kraken are +169 road underdogs on Thursday but could put up a strong fight against an Avalanche team that has been shut out in three of their last five games (2-3-0) and will be starting Ivan Prosvetov in net.

Stephenson is expected to miss the next two games as he tends to an upper-body injury. In the Golden Knights' most recent game, Stephenson played 19:12 and was held without a point, registering a -2 plus/minus rating. Jonas Rondbjerg has been recalled from Henderson of the AHL and is expected to suit up for Vegas in his absence.

More updates and clarity should be provided on Gaudreau's health in the upcoming days.

The 27-year-old has never had more than six starts in a season but seems to be well on his way to surpass that as he has gained the trust of the Kraken coaching staff. In two games (1-0-1), Daccord has a .240 GAA and .918 SV% and could continue to see a fair share of action in the crease if he continues to give his team a chance to win every night. He will have his work cut out for him tonight though, as the Kraken visit the high-scoring Detroit Red Wings. The Red Wings are averaging a league-best 5.00 goals scored per game.
