San Jose Sharks News

Brossoit will start Tuesday vs. the Red Wings.

Brossoit allowed two goals on 34 shots in the Jets loss in Los Angeles on November 30th. The Jets have a home-and-home with the NHL's worst team on Tuesday/Thursday so they will use this opportunity to get both goalies a start--with Brossoit going on home-ice and Connor Hellebuyck starting in his home state. The 26-year-old has gone 3-3-0 with a 3.65 GAA and .885 SV% on the season but is a solid spot-start option vs. a Red Wings team that has lost 11 in a row.

Laurent Brossoit
Price will start Friday in New York.

Price allowed two goals on 23 shots in the Canadiens win over the Islanders on Tuesday. Cayden Primeau got the front-end of the Thursday/Friday back-to-back, which leaves Price to face the Rangers at Madison Square Garden. Price has gone 4-3-2 with a 2.96 GAA and .915 SV% on the road this season and gave up six goals on 34 shots in a 6-5 loss in his first start against New York (Nov.23) this season.

Carey Price
Price will start Tuesday vs. the Islanders.

Price allowed three goals on 34 shots in the Canadiens' loss in Boston on Sunday. Price played a lot better than in recent games but still lost his sixth straight game with a 4.90 GAA and .840 SV%. Those numbers are horrendous but tonight Montreal hosts an Islanders team that played in Detroit last night and are 2-2-1 while scoring just 1.60 goals per game in their last five games.

Carey Price
Brossoit ill start Saturday in Los Angeles.

Brossoit allowed three goals on 30 shots in the Jets loss to the Blue Jackets last Saturday. The loss snapped a brief two-game winning streak for Brossoit, who comes into Saturday at 3-1-0 with a. 3.25 GAA and .895 SV% on the road. The Kings are scoring 3.14 goals per game on home-ice this season, so Brossoit doesn't have a lot of spot-start intrigue tonight.

Laurent Brossoit
Price will start Sunday in Boston.

Price allowed five goals on 34 shots in the Canadiens' loss to the Devils on Thursday. Price is in the middle of a terrible stretch, losing five in a row (0-4-1) with a 5.34 GAA and .822 SV% and draws a terrible matchup in Boston on Sunday. He struggled in November last year, so maybe seeing the calendar flip to December will be enough for him to figure things out, but this matchup is for only the most desperate of owners.

Leddy (lower-body) is expected to play Saturday vs. the Blue Jackets.

Leddy missed Wednesday's game in Los Angeles but head coach Barry Trotz expects him to play on Saturday. Leddy, who has three assists in his last seven games and nine points (2G / 7A) in 18 games this season, will likely replace Noah Dobson on the blueline.

Nick Leddy
Price will start Tuesday in Columbus.

Price allowed two goals on 28 shots in the Canadiens win in Washington last Friday. Keith Kinkaid started Saturday, so Price gets the nod Tuesday in Columbus. Price has won three in a row while stopping 90 of the 96 shots (.938 SV%) that he's faced. One of those wins came against the Blue Jackets, who he'll face again tonight--he stopped 33 of 35 shots in a 3-2 shootout win over Columbus last Tuesday.

Brossoit will start Thursday in Florida.

Brossoit allowed three goals on 26 shots in the Jets win in Vegas on started the last four games but Brossoit will give him the night off in Florida. He is 2-1-0 with a 3.32 GAA and .887 SV% on the road this season and isn't a good option against a Panthers team that is 4-1-1 in their last six.

Laurent Brossoit
Price will start Friday in Washington.

Price allowed two goals on 35 shots in the Canadiens win over the Blue Jackets on Tuesday. Price has won three of his last four starts (3-0-1) with a 2.70 GAA and .919 SV%. Despite playing well, he has a tough road assignment in Washington. The Capitals have not lost in regulation in over a month, going 11-0-2 with 4.38 goals per game in their last 13 games.
