Keyser will come up to serve as Linus Ullmark's backup on Thursday because Jeremy Swayman was moved into COVID-19 protocol.

Toffoli will be out until at least early February, which means we likely won't see him until after the Olympic break. Look for Artturi Lehkonen to continue to play up the lineup while Toffoli is out. It may also mean an extended look at 2018 second-round pick, Jesse Ylonen.

Toffoli was missing from Monday's practice session and head coach Dominique Ducharme said he's expected to miss at least a couple of weeks. Laurent Dauphin was recalled from the AHL to try and help replace Toffoli.

Toffoli missed Monday's practice due to an upper-body injury and is expected to be re-evaluated ahead of Tuesday's game vs. the Lightning. For now, consider him day-to-day and expect a more detailed update later Monday or on Tuesday.

Gaudette was recently claimed off of waivers from the Blackhawks and will make his debut on Wednesday. Gaudette centred the third line with Alex Formenton and Zach Sanford in Tuesday's practice.

Gaudette was traded to the Blackhawks last April, picking up two goals and four assists (six points) in 15 games with Chicago between last year and this year.

Sherwood was scratched from the lineup on Wednesday but will replace Kurtis MacDermid in the lineup on Friday. Sherwood has collected just one assist in seven games this season.
