Eric Comrie will start vs. the Buffalo Sabres

Comrie allowed four goals on 29 shots (.862 SV%) in his last start, losing to Tampa Bay on the road 5-3. It is a revenge game for Comrie who has posted a 4-4-0 record alongside a .894 SV% and 3.38 GAA with Buffalo after being acquired by Winnipeg in the offseason. He was a member of Arizona in 2019 before being placed on waivers without seeing any NHL action. He takes on the struggling Coyotes Tuesday who rank last in the NHL in SOG/GP with only 23.4.

Orlov left Saturday's game with a lower-body injury and missed Sunday's practice. He'll be a game-time decision vs. the Oilers, so monitor his status as the Capitals hit the ice for warmups at 7:30 PM ET.
