Afanasyev has been recalled from Milwaukee (AHL) on Monday.

Afanasyev was recalled along with Mark Jankowski on Monday in moves corresponding to Philip Tomasino being reassigned to the Milwaukee Admirals (AHL). Afanasyev was the 45th overall pick of the Predators in the 2019 NHL Entry Draft and has been enjoying a terrific season at the AHL level, scoring 42 points (21G / 21A) in 42 games.

Nedeljkovic will start Friday vs. Minnesota.

Nedeljkovic will start his first game since the All-Star break on Friday evening when the Penguins visit the Minnesota Wild. The 28-year-old Nedeljkovic has only played once in the last seven games for the Penguins but was excellent, saving 29 of 31 shots (.935 SV%) in a 3-2 shootout loss to the Florida Panthers. Nedeljkovic was victorious against Minnesota on December 16th, saving 24 of 27 shots (.889 SV%) in a 4-3 win.

Brossoit will start Thursday in Philadelphia.

Brossoit will tend the twine on Thursday in an attempt to snap a four-game losing streak for the Jets. Brossoit has been sensational when called upon this season, highlighted by a multi-week stretch where he has posted a 4-0-1 record, allowing fewer than three goals in each contest and posting a dazzling .951 SV%. The Jets look poised to get back into the win column as -136 road favourites against a Philadelphia Flyers club that snapped a five-game losing skid in their last outing.

Dellandrea will draw back into the Stars' lineup Wednesday vs. Toronto.

Dellandrea was a healthy scratch for the Stars' previous three games but will draw back into the lineup Wednesday vs. Toronto instead of Craig Smith. The 23-year-old former 1st-round pick (13th overall) has struggled to produce throughout the 2023-24 season, with only three points (1G/2A), 17 SOG, 10 PIMs, and a -9 plus/minus through 21 games.

Ferraro (undisclosed) has been placed on the Injured Reserve.

Ferraro left the Sharks' game a week ago vs. Los Angeles after just 14:02 due to an undisclosed injury and has been placed on the Injured Reserve Monday. The 25-year-old had been a key part of San Jose's blue line throughout the year, with his 14 points (1G/13A), 26 PIMs, 79 SOG, and -21 plus/minus.

Mukhamadullin will make his NHL debut Saturday vs. Buffalo.

Mukhamadullin was a key piece in the trade that sent Timo Meier to New Jersey and will make his NHL debut Saturday vs. Buffalo. The 22-year-old Russian defensemen was the 20th overall pick in the 2020 NHL draft and has excelled with the San Jose Barracuda (AHL) this season, with 26 points (5G/21A) in 39 games played.

After taking the reigns on the Penguins' crease for most of December, Nedeljkovic will start on Friday for the first time in six games. Nedeljkovic has been serviceable this season, posting a 2.66 GAA and .916 SV% in 15 games (8-3-2), but allowed three goals on nine shots (.667 SV%) before being pulled in his last outing, a 4-3 loss to the Vancouver Canucks on January 11th. The Penguins are +116 home underdogs against a Florida Panthers club that has outscored their opposition 10-3 in their last two games (2-0-0).

Reaves (lower body) has been activated from the Injured Reserve.

Reaves has been on the Injured Reserve since December 14th and made some news this passed week after stating he had been healthy for weeks despite being on the IR. The 37-year-old veteran winger is in the first year of a three-year, $4.05 million contract signed in the offseason and has a goal and no assists in 21 games played so far this season.

After serving as the backup for four straight games (2-2-0), Brossoit will return to the crease on Wednesday against the Toronto Maple Leafs. Brossoit has been tremendous between the pipes for the Jets lately, allowing two or fewer goals in six straight (5-1-0), boasting a dazzling .952 SV%.

Dellandrea will draw back into the Stars' lineup Tuesday.

Dellandrea played his first game in three weeks on Saturday and recorded one assist in 15:01 time-on-ice, but returned to being a healthy scratch on Sunday. On Tuesday, he will draw back into the lineup and play on the fourth line with Radek Faksa and Sam Steel.
