San Jose continues key pieces during the offseason as they signed forward Alex Wennberg to a two-year deal worth $10.0 million ($5.0M AAV). The 30-year-old spent 2023-24 split between New York and Seattle and had 10 goals and 30 points in 79 games played.

The Canucks have signed Kiefer Sherwood to a two-year deal worth $3.0 million ($1.5M AAV).

Vancouver added to its offensive depth on Monday as it signed Kiefer Sherwood to a two-year deal worth $3.0 million ($1.5M AAV). The 29-year-old is coming off his best statistical season in the NHL as he finished 2023-24 with 10 goals, 27 points, 41 PIMs and a +17 plus/minus.

The Jets have signed Eric Comrie to a one-year deal worth $825K.

After six lacklustre seasons away from Winnipeg, Eric Comrie will return to the Jets on a one-year deal worth $825,000 to provide much-needed goaltending depth. The 28-year-old spent 2023-24 with Buffalo and struggled mightily in his 10 appearances, with his 2-7-0 record, 3.69 GAA and .874 SV%.

The Sharks are signing Tyler Toffoli to a four-year deal worth $24.0 million ($6.0M AAV).

Toffoli will head to the West Coast to join the young talent out in San Jose as he signed a four-year deal worth $24.0 million ($6.0M AAV) with the Sharks on Monday. The 32-year-old was acquired at the trade deadline by Winnipeg from New Jersey and had 33 goals, 55 points and 229 SOG in 79 total games played in 2023-24.

The Sabres have bought out Jeff Skinner's contract.

Skinner has three years left on a deal that carries a $9.0M AAV cap-hit. According to Cap Friendly, the buyout will save the Sabres $7.33 million but will keep Skinner on the books until the 2029-30 season. He'll cost them $1.445M AAV for the 2024-25 season. Skinner had a career year in 2023 but had just 24 goals and 22 assists (46 points) in 74 games last year.

Utah has signed Michael Kesselring to a two-year contract extension worth $1.4 million AAV.

Kesselring broke out in 2023-24 with five goals and 21 points in 65 games played and has earned himself a two-year, $2.8 million contract extension with the Utah Hockey Club. The 24-year-old is in his 2nd NHL season and has 74 NHL games under his belt to go with his 24 career points.

Pittsburgh has signed Alex Nedeljkovic to a two-year, $5 million ($2,500,000 AAV) contract extension.

Nedeljkovic had an impressive first season in Pittsburgh, mostly backing up Tristan Jarry all season before leading the Penguins' end-of-the-year playoff push and has earned himself a two-year, $5 million ($2,500,000 AAV) contract extension. The 28-year-old finished 2023-24 with a 18-7-7 record, 2.97 GAA and .902 SV% while appearing in 38 total games.

San Jose has claimed Barclay Goodrow off waivers from the New York Rangers.

New York waived playoff stud Barclay Goodrow on Tuesday and he was claimed by the San Jose Sharks on Wednesday. The 31-year-old carries a $3.64 million cap hit for three more seasons after scoring four goals and 12 points in 80 games with the Rangers in 2023-24.

San Jose has acquired Ty Dellandrea for a 2025 fourth-round pick from the Dallas Stars.

Dallas had simply run out of room for forward Ty Dellandrea and has traded the 23-year-old centre to San Jose for a 2024 fourth-round pick. Dellandrea was Dallas' 2018 first-round pick (13th overall) and appeared in 42 games for the Stars in 2023-24, picking up two goals, nine points, 23 PIMs and a -10 plus/minus. In four NHL seasons, he has 14 goals and 42 points in 151 games played.

New York has placed Barclay Goodrow on waivers on Tuesday.

Goodrow had six goals in 16 playoff games during New York's 2023-24 playoff run but has been placed on waivers on Tuesday to buy out his contract. The 31-year-old has three more seasons remaining at a $3.6 million cap hit if he were to be claimed be any of the other 31 NHL teams.

Nathan Todd cleared waivers on Wednesday and will have his contract terminated by San Jose.

Todd had a successful 2023-24 with the San Jose Barracuda (AHL), picking up 19 goals and 55 points in 69 games played but has had his contract waived and terminated as he heads to Salavat Yulaev Ufa in the KHL. The 28-year-old had never managed to make it to the NHL but had 125 points in five AHL seasons.

San Jose has signed Will Smith to a three-year, $4.15 million entry-level contract.

Smith was San Jose's top prospect and 2023 first-round pick (4th overall) and signed a three-year, entry-level contract on Tuesday worth $4.15 million ($950,000 AAV). The 19-year-old just finished up his Freshman season with Boston College (NCAA) and had 25 goals and 71 points in 41 games played.

Dellandrea will draw back into Dallas' lineup for Game 2 on Saturday vs. Edmonton.

Dellandrea has not played since Game 4 of the Stars' opening series vs. Vegas but will draw back into the lineup on Saturday for Radek Faksa. In four games so far in the 2023-24 playoffs, the 23-year-old left-winger has a goal, five SOG and two PIMs.

San Jose has signed Luca Cagnoni to a three-year, entry-level contract.

Cagnoni was San Jose's 2023 fourth-round pick (123rd overall) and signed a three-year, entry-level contract on Wednesday with the Sharks. The 19-year-old defenseman is looking like a draft-day steal after putting up 18 goals and 90 points in 65 games with Portland (WHL) in his fourth junior season in 2023-24.

Marchment (undisclosed) will play in Game 2 vs. the Avalanche.

Marchment has been out since Game 2 of Round 1 with an undisclosed injury, but he will replace Radek Faksa in the lineup on Thursday. Marchment enjoyed the best season of his career in 2023-24, scoring 22 goals with 31 assists (53 points) in 81 games--he had one goal in the first two games of Round 1.
