Nedeljkovic will start on Tuesday in Calgary.

The Penguins will turn to Nedeljkovic for a second straight game on Tuesday when they visit the Calgary Flames. The Penguins are desperate to find some stability in their crease after allowing three or more goals in each game this season, being outscored 31-24 for seven games (3-4-0). The Penguins enter action as +101 road underdogs against the Flames.

Alex Nedeljkovic will start on Sunday against the Jets.

The Penguins will turn to Nedeljkovic in the crease for his first start of the season after suffering a lower-body injury in training camp. With Tristan Jarry off to a slow start between the pipes this season, Nedeljkovic could have an opportunity to make his case for more playing time again this season. The 28-year-old surprisingly took over Pittsburgh's crease for the Penguins end of season playoff run in 2023-24 due to his 18-7-7 record, 2.97 GAA and .902 SV% during his first season in Pennsylvania.

Eric Comrie will start on Sunday against the Penguins.

The Jets are the only team remaining without a loss this season (4-0-0) and will turn to Comrie between the pipes for his first start. The 29-year-old Comrie recorded a subpar 3.69 GAA and .874 SV% during 10 games in the 2023-24 campaign as a member of the Buffalo Sabres (2-7-0). The Jets have been off to a blistering start, outscoring their opposition 18-5 during this season-opening four-game winning streak, and enter action against the Pittsburgh Penguins on Sunday afternoon as -159 home favorites.

Smith will be a healthy scratch on Friday in Winnipeg.

As part of pre-planned play-management for the 19-year-old rookie, Smith will have the night off on Friday against the Winnipeg Jets. Smith is averaging 14:01 time-on-ice through his first four NHL games this season, with zero points and a -2 plus/minus rating.

Allan is expected to draw back into Chicago's lineup on Thursday vs. San Jose.

Veteran defenseman Alec Martinez will not play on Thursday due to a lower-body injury, allowing Allan to enter the Blackhawks' lineup. The 21-year-old Allan was the 32nd overall pick of the Blackhawks in the 2021 NHL Entry Draft. He played 60 games with the Rockford IceHogs last season, tallying 17 points (5G / 12A).

Nedeljkovic (lower-body) has been activated from IR and assigned to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton (AHL) on a conditioning loan.

Nedeljkovic has been sidelined since late in the preseason when he suffered a lower-body injury. With Pittsburgh struggling to receive consistent netminding from Tristan Jarry early in the season, Nedeljkovic could have an opportunity to garner a heavy workload when he returns to the team. The 28-year-old surprisingly took over Pittsburgh's crease for the Penguins' end-of-season playoff run in 2023-24 due to his 18-7-7 record, 2.97 GAA, and .902 SV% during his first season in Pennsylvania.

Gaudette has been recalled from Belleville (AHL).

Gaudette drew into Ottawa's lineup on Monday due to a Ridly Greig injury and has been recalled again, an indication that Greig may not be ready to return to the lineup. Gaudette recorded an assist in 5:36 time-on-ice in Ottawa's exhilarating 8-7 overtime win against the Los Angeles Kings on Monday.

Gaudette will draw back into the Senators' lineup on Monday vs. Los Angeles.

Ridly Greig will exit the lineup on Monday due to an upper-body injury, allowing Gaudette to draw back in. Gaudette has only played three NHL games since the conclusion of the 2021-22 campaign. The 28-year-old Gaudette had a tremendous 2023-24 campaign in the AHL as a member of the Springfield Thunderbirds, posting a career-high 71 points (44G / 27A) in 67 games.

Celebrini is week-to-week with a lower-body injury.

The Sharks have placed Celebrini on IR and will be without this summer's No.1 overall pick for at least a couple of weeks. This is a terrible break for Celebrini, who had one goal, one assist and two SOG in his NHL debut on Thursday. Mikael Granlund will move up and centre the top line and Klim Kostin will draw into the lineup to replace Celebrini.

Giles has been recalled from Charlotte (AHL).

With Aleksander Barkov's injury status up in the air for Saturday's contest, Florida has recalled Patrick Giles from Charlotte (AHL) for some offensive depth. The 24-year-old undrafted right-winger has yet to make an NHL appearance but had 13 goals, 23 points and 31 PIMs in 66 games with Charlotte (AHL) in 2023-24.

Celebrini missed practice on Friday and is being evaluated for a lower-body injury.

Celebrini is battling a lower-body injury and is questionable for Saturday's game against the Anaheim Ducks. Sharks head coach Ryan Warsofsky would not specify if Celebrini absence is due to a new injury or something that was previously lingering. The 18-year-old Celebrini made his NHL debut on Thursday and recorded two points (1G / 1A) in a 5-4 overtime loss to the St. Louis Blues.
