Askarov will start against the Lightning on Thursday.

The Sharks are amid their second eight-game losing skid of the season and will attempt to return to the win column with Askarov between the pipes on Thursday against the Tampa Bay Lightning. Askarov played well in his most recent outing, saving 30 of 32 shots (.938 SV%) in a 3-1 loss to the Calgary Flames. The 22-year-old Askarov has a 2.62 GAA and .915 SV% in five NHL games this season (1-2-2). The Sharks enter Thursday's contest as sizeable +227 road underdogs against a Lightning club coming off a 5-2 loss to the Montreal Canadiens.

Nedeljkovic was excellent in his most recent outing, saving 29 of 31 shots in a 3-2 win over the New York Islanders, and will be rewarded with a second consecutive start. The 28-year-old Nedeljkovic has a 3.18 GAA and .890 SV% in 15 games this season (6-5-3) but has a .921 SV% in his last four contests (3-1-0). The Penguins enter Tuesday's contest as +111 home underdogs against a Detroit Red Wings club coming off an impressive 4-2 win over the Washington Capitals.

Alex Nedeljkovic
Skinner will draw back into Edmonton's lineup vs. Utah on Tuesday.

Skinner did not play on Sunday but will re-enter the lineup on Tuesday against Utah HC. Over the previous three seasons, Skinner has averaging a 64-point pace per 82-game season but has struggled in his first season with the Oilers. The 32-year-old Skinner only has 12 points (6G / 6A) in 35 games this season, a 28-point pace.

That said, the Sharks enter Monday's contest as significant +214 road underdogs against a Canucks club amid a three-game losing skid (0-1-2).
