Harvey-Pinard (lower body) will return to the Canadiens' lineup Thursday.

Harvey-Pinard has been out since November 14th due to a lower-body injury but will return to the Canadiens' lineup Thursday as he replaces Emil Heineman. The 25-year-old Sophomore had yet to score in 13 games before his injury, but had four assists, 11 SOG, two PIMs and a +1 plus/minus.

Skinner will start Tuesday vs. Chicago.

The red-hot Oilers will return to Skinner on Tuesday in a favourable matchup against the injury-depleted Chicago Blackhawks. The Oilers are riding a seven-game winning streak, and, as such, are significant -448 road favourites against a Blackhawks club whose leading active point-producer only has 23 points (8G / 15A) in 33 games. In addition to the already advantageous circumstances for the Oilers, Skinner has been tremendous between the pipes. While winning his last five starts, Skinner has allowed two or fewer goals four times, boasting a sensational .948 SV%.

Ponomarev has been recalled from the Chicago Wolves (AHL).

Ponomarev is Carolina's 2020 second-round pick (53rd overall) and has earned his first NHL call up Friday after scoring six goals and 20 points in 20 games with the Chicago Wolves (AHL) to start 2023-24. The 21-year-old has a high potential to make his first NHL appearance Friday as the Hurricanes take on Washington on the road.

Ryan Shea has been recalled from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton (AHL).

Shea has appeared in 22 games this season but has yet to pick up a point while collecting 13 SOG, six PIMs and a -2 plus/minus. He was reassigned to the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton (AHL) on Tuesday but immediately recalled on Wednesday after John Ludvig (undisclosed) was placed on IR.

Rust (lower-body) will return to the Penguins' lineup on Tuesday.

Rust will return to the Penguins' lineup for Tuesday's game against the Capitals after missing the last ten games due to an upper-body injury he suffered on December 6th. Before his injury, Rust was having a terrific season, scoring 20 points (10G / 10A) in 22 games. He will skate alongside Reilly Smith and Evgeni Malkin on the Penguins' second line tonight.

Shea has appeared in 22 games this season but has yet to pick up a point while collecting 13 SOG, six PIMs and a -2 plus/minus but has been reassigned to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton (AHL) Tuesday. The 26-year-old will have to wait to acquire his first career NHL point as he heads back to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton where he had no points in four games prior to his original promotion.

Bryan Rust (upper body) has been activated off the Injured Reserve.

Rust has missed ten straight games for the Penguins after suffering an upper-body injury on December 6th. Rust's return to the ice and full participation in line rushes is an encouraging sign for the Penguins, with all signs pointing to his return on Tuesday night. Before his injury, Rust was having a terrific season, scoring 20 points (10G / 10A) in 22 games.

Stuart Skinner will start Tuesday vs. Philadelphia.

After losing three straight games, the Oilers have won five in a row, three courtesy of Skinner, who will return to the crease on Tuesday. Skinner has saved 82 of 87 shots (.943 SV%) during his three-game winning streak and has been terrific dating back to late November, posting a .920 SV% in 12 games (10-2-0). The Oilers are -175 home favourites in a favourable matchup against a Philadelphia Flyers team that has lost two straight but defeated the Oilers 4-1 in their only other matchup this season.
