David Gustafsson will draw back into the Jets' lineup Saturday vs. Chicago.

With Vladislav Namestnikov day-to-day with a lower-body injury, Gustafsson will draw back into the lineup for his 18th game. Gustafsson has two points (2G / 0A) while averaging 8:35 time-on-ice this season, playing predominantly with Rasmus Kupari and Morgan Barron.

Ilya Solovyov has been recalled from the Calgary Wranglers (AHL).

Solovyov has been recalled from the Calgary Wranglers of the AHL, likely to add some depth to their defensive core after Nikita Zadorov was traded yesterday to the Vancouver Canucks. The 23-year-old Solovyov was drafted 205th overall by the Flames in the 2020 NHL Entry Draft and has five points (2G / 3A), a +5 plus/minus rating, and 12 penalty minutes in 16 games with the Wranglers this season.

Rust (lower-body) will play in Nashville on Tuesday.

Rust was a full participant at practice on Tuesday and skated with the top powerplay unit. He will return to the lineup after a three-game absence. After a down 2022-23 campaign, was in the process of having a terrific rebound season, tallying 16 points (9G / 7A) in 17 games thus far.

Andrei Kuzmenko will draw back into the Canucks' lineup Tuesday vs. Anaheim.

Kuzmenko has been a surprise healthy scratch for the Canucks' previous two games but will draw back into the lineup Tuesday as they take on Anaheim. The 27-year-old sophomore was sent to the press box after putting up three goals, 11 assists, 28 SOG, and a +1 plus/minus in 19 games to start the 2023-24 season.

Bryan Rust (lower body) will be a game-time decision Tuesday vs. Nashville.

Rust was a full participant at practice on Tuesday and skated with the top powerplay unit. Rust hasn't played the last three games, but after a down 2022-23 campaign, was in the process of having a terrific rebound season, tallying 16 points (9G / 7A) in 17 games thus far.

Matthew Dumba is expected to be a healthy scratch Saturday vs. Vegas.

Dumba signed a one-year, $3.9 million contract with Arizona in the offseason but has struggled out of the gate to produce with two goals, two assists, 25 SOG, 24 PIMs and a -9 plus/minus in 19 games and will be a healthy scratch Saturday. The 29-year-old will be replaced by Vladislav Kolyachonok, who is making his season debut.

Andrei Kuzmenko is expected to be a healthy scratch Friday vs. Seattle.

Kuzmenko has seen extended time on the Canucks top powerplay unit this season while playing primarily alongside Elias Pettersson at even strength. In 19 games this season, Kuzmenko has 14 points (3G / 11A) while averaging 15:24 time-on-ice. However, in his most recent contest, Kuzmenko registered a -3 plus/minus, failing to score a point while playing only 14:33. His top-line role will likely be filled by Sam Lafferty, who is expected to slide up the lineup.

Rust's return to the lineup appears to be on the horizon as he participated in practice on Friday but unfortunately is not quite ready to return to game action. After a down 2022-23 campaign, Rust was in the process of having a terrific rebound season, tallying 16 points (9G / 7A) in 17 games thus far.

Rust will miss Wednesday vs. the New York Rangers after it was announced he was day-to-day with a lower-body injury. If he is forced to miss an extedned chunk of time it would be a shame as the 31-year-old winger is on pace for career highs in almost all categories as he has nine goals, seven assists, 55 SOG, and a +10 plus/minus through 17 games played.

Samuel Girard (personal) will be out Wednesday vs. Vancouver as he is away from the team.

Girard did not play on Monday due to personal reasons and will be away from the team again on Wednesday against the Vancouver Canucks. Girard has played 15 games this season, scoring only one point (0G / 1A) in his first 13 before tripling that with three points (2G / 1A) in his last two. Josh Manson entered the lineup on Monday to replace Girard.

Rakell has struggled so far in 2023-24 with no goals and only four assists, 44 SOG, two PIMs, and a -2 plus/minus in 17 games but will now be forced out long-term with an upper-body injury. The 30-year-old right winger joins Bryan Rust, and Chad Ruhwedel on Pittsburgh's growing injury report Tuesday.

Girard (undisclosed) is not on the ice for warmups for Monday's game in Nashville.

Girard is a surprise scratch for Monday's game against the Predators, presumably due to an undisclosed injury. Girard has one goal and three assists across 15 games with the Avalanche this season. Josh Manson (upper-body) makes his return to the Avalanche lineup in place of Girard.
