Zub came over from the KHL this offseason after scoring 13 goals with nine assists (22 points) in 57 games with St. Petersburg SKA. The 25-year-old undrafted free agent is expected to replace Thomas Chabot, who is doubtful with an undisclosed injury.

Chabot missed Saturday's practice after leaving Thursday's game in Vancouver early. Head coach DJ Smith said that "for now [Chabot] is going to be out for tonight," so consider him a game-time decision but it would be surprising if he plays.

Ullmark allowed three goals on 39 shots in the Sabres loss to the Rangers on Thursday. Ullmark has been a workhorse for the Sabres, with Saturday marking his fifth consecutive start. He's gone 2-0-2 while stopping 121 of the 132 shots (.917 SV%) that he's faced. Buffalo has been terrific defensively so far this season, so Ullmark continues to be a strong fantasy option in the right matchups.

Foegele was activated on Friday and was on the ice for an optional practice, suggesting that he could be available for Saturday's home game vs. the Stars. Foegele, who has yet to record a point in three games this season, will likely replace Steven Lorentz and skate on the third line with Jordan Staal if he's made available.

Eller left Tuesday's game with an upper-body injury and will miss Thursday's game vs. the Islanders. With Eller out, T.J. Oshie is expected to shift to centre for the game and Michael Sgarbossa is expected to see some PP2 time.

Ullmark allowed three goals on 31 shots in the Sabres' shootout win in Washington on Sunday. After going 1-1-1 with a 2.55 GAA and .905 SV% in his first three starts, it looks like Ullmark will face someone other than the Capitals on Tuesday night. The Rangers come in struggling, opening the season at 1-3-1 while averaging 2.60 goals for per game.

Cozens was sent to the taxi squad prior to Sunday's game so that the Sabres could get Casey Mittelstadt into the lineup. The two swapped spots on Tuesday morning, so look for Cozens to skate with Eric Staal and Victor Olofsson vs. the Rangers. The rookie has scored one goal with one assist in his first five career NHL games.

Ullmark missed the last two games due to the death of his father but was back on the ice on Thursday. With Carter Hutton day-to-day with an injury, a heavy-hearted Ullmark could be back in the crease Friday in Washington.

Gilbert played 9:54 TOI in his season debut on Tuesday. Gilbert played because Ian Cole was traded for Greg Pateryn a few hours before the game. With Pateryn available on Thursday, Gilbert will be scratched.

The Senators called Stützle's injury minor on Tuesday but it looks like he'll miss at least two games. Alex Galchenyuk scored while replacing Stützle on Tuesday, so expect him to remain in the lineup on Thursday.

The Hurricanes played in Nashville on Monday and had just one player n the COVID-19 protocol list and that was Jordan Staal. On Tuesday, their game with the Predators was cancelled due to four more players being added to that list, Foegele among them. The four players with confirmed positive tests must stay behind in Nashville and observe a 10-day isolation period in the team hotel.

Amadio is expected to be a healthy scratch Tuesday vs. the Avalanche and will be replaced Lias Andersson, who will make his Kings debut.
