William Eklund will be making his season debut Saturday for San Jose.

Eklund had 17 goals, 24 assists, 43 PIMs and a -9 plus/minus through 52 games with the San Jose Barracuda (AHL) and will be making his season debut with the Sharks on Saturday. Eklund was a 2021 1st round pick (7th overall) and has played in nine career NHL games previously, picking up four assists.

The Blues have signed Sammy Blais to a one-year deal worth $1.0M.

Blais has two goals, an assist, and 15 SOG through nine games since being traded back to the St. Louis Blues and has not signed a one-year, $1.0 Million contract extension. The 26-year-old has two goals, and eight points across 49 games with both the Blues and Rangers.

Kurtis MacDermid will miss Monday's game vs. Vegas (concussion).

MacDermid left the Avalanche's previous game after 3:49 TOI due to a concussion after fighting Milan Lucic and will now miss Monday's game vs. Vegas as he remains in concussion protocol. The 28-year-old bruiser has four assists, 14 SOG, 49 PIMs and was a -2 plus/minus prior to the injury.

The Sharks have acquired Fabian Zetterlund, Shakir Mukhamadullin, Nikita Okhotyuk, Andreas Johnsson, a Conditional 2023 1st Round Pick, a Conditional 2024 2nd Round Pick and a 2024 7th Round Pick from the Devils for Timo Meier, Scott Harrington, Santeri Hatakka, Zachary Emond, Timur Ibragimov, and a 2024 5th Round Pick.

Zetterlund has been in-and-out of the Devils lineup this season, scoring six goals with 14 assists (20 points) in 45 games. The 2017 third-round pick has an outstanding shot and will provide some offensive punch in the Sharks' middle-6. Zetterlund should see an increase in usage (12:57 ATOI in NJD) following this trade.

Jake Sanderson has been activated from the injured reserve (upper-body).

Sanderson last played on February 11th due to an upper-body injury and has been activated off the injured reserve Thursday. The 20-year-old rookie has three goals, 18 assists, 85 SOG, six PIMs and a -3 plus/minus through 51 games prior to his injury.

Ersson will start Monday in Calgary.

Ersson last played on Feb.16th but was forced to leave early due to an injury after allowing two goals on 11 shots vs. Seattle in his last start. The 23-year-old has impressively yet to lose in his career through eight games played, with his 5-0-0 record, 2.50 GAA and .913 SV%. He takes on the Calgary Flames, who won their last game 3-2 in overtime over the New York Rangers and are second in the NHL in shots per game (35.4).

Ullmark will start Monday vs. the Senators.

Ullmark stopped 26 of 28 shots (.929 SV%) for his third-straight win as he beat the New York Islanders easily in his previous start. The 29-year-old is leading Vezina Trophy voting due to his league-leading 1.91 GAA, .936 SV% and 28-4-1 record. He will face the Ottawa Senators, who have won three of their last four games after an impressive 7-2 thumping of St. Louis yesterday.

Sanderson (upper-body) is expected to be out until late-February.

Sanderson is set to miss his third straight game on Friday, and he's expected to be out until the Senators' back-to-back vs. the Red Wings on February 27th/28th. The 20-year-old has three goals, 21 points and a -3 plus/minus across 51 games in his rookie campaign.

Samuel Ersson has been recalled from Lehigh Valley (AHL).

Ersson had a 15-10-1 record, .911 SV% and 2.58 GAA with the Lehigh Valley Phantoms (AHL) and has been recalled for a second time Monday to the Philadelphia Flyers. The 23-year-old was exceptional in his previous NHL stint this season, going an undefeated 5-0-0 with a 2.37 GAA and .918 SV%.

The Predators have recalled Philip Tomasino from Milwaukee (AHL).

Tomasino has 12 goals, 20 assists, 24 PIMs and a -2 plus/minus through 38 games with Milwaukee (AHL) and has been recalled by Nashville Monday for the first time this season. The 21-year-old has previously played in 76 games last season, with 11 goals and 32 points.

Samuel Bolduc has been reassigned to Bridgeport (AHL).

Bolduc had a goal, six SOG, two PIMs and a +2 plus/minus in his first career six-game stint with the New York Islanders but has been returned to Bridgeport (AHL) Monday. He returned to the minors, where he had eight goals and 26 points in 41 games played prior to his promotion.
