Ersson will start Monday vs. the Islanders.

The Flyers have lost four straight and will turn to Ersson between the pipes on Monday against the New York Islanders. Ersson has lost three in a row, allowing five or more goals two times, including five on 24 shots (.792 SV%) in his most recent outing, a disappointing 5-1 blowout loss to the Chicago Blackhawks. The Flyers enter action as -114 home favourites.

Kleven was recalled from Belleville (AHL) in response to Thomas Chabot exiting Wednesday's contest with a lower-body injury. The 22-year-old Kleven has 17 points (3G / 14A) in 45 games with Belleville and will suit up for Ottawa on Thursday as Chabot is unable to play.

Chabot recorded an assist on Wednesday but played only 14:54 time-on-ice before exiting the game with a lower-body injury. The Senators have recalled Tyler Kleven from Belleville (AHL) to replace Chabot, who has six points (2G / 4A) in his last six games.

The Flyers have two straight but will ride with Ersson in the crease for the second consecutive game on Thursday against the Montreal Canadiens. Ersson is coming off one of his worst performances of the season, allowing six goals on 27 shots (.778 SV%) in a 6-5 loss to the New York Rangers. Ersson was solid in his last outing against the Canadiens, saving 17 of 19 shots (.895 SV%) in a 3-2 shootout victory in January.

Kleven was recalled from Belleville (AHL) in response to Thomas Chabot exiting Wednesday's contest with a lower-body injury. The 22-year-old Kleven has 17 points (3G / 14A) in 45 games with Belleville and will likely suit up for Ottawa on Thursday if Chabot is unable to play.

Crotty made his NHL debut for the Coyotes on Sunday and registered four hits in 10:03 time-on-ice in a 4-2 loss to the Dallas Stars. The 24-year-old Crotty was the 82nd overall pick of the Coyotes in the 2017 NHL Entry Draft and has spent the entirety of the last four seasons playing with the Tuscon Roadrunners (AHL).

Ottawa has signed Stephen Halliday to a two-year, entry-level contract which will begin in 2024-25.

Halliday had just finished his second season at Ohio State (NCAA) and has signed with Ottawa on a two-year, entry-level contract that starts in 2024-25. The 21-year-old undrafted forward enjoyed a very strong season with the Buckeyes in 2023-24, with 10 goals, 36 points and 30 PIMs in 38 games played.

Giroux (illness) is on the ice for warmups and is expected to play against the Blues on Thursday.

Giroux is battling an illness and his status is up in the air for Thursday's contest against the St. Louis Blues. Despite the Senators' struggles this season, the 36-year-old Giroux has enjoyed another productive campaign, scoring 57 points (19G / 38A) in 67 games.
