Ottawa has signed Jamieson Rees to a one-year, two-way contract extension.

Ottawa added to their organizational depth on Friday as they signed 23-year-old forward Jamieson Rees to a one-year, two-way contract on Friday. Rees had an odd 2023-24 season as he spent it with three separate AHL organizations (Springfield, Charlotte, Belleville) before settling in with the Senators. In 41 combined AHL games, he had no goals and eight points.

Ottawa has signed Nikolas Matinpalo a one-year, two-way contract extension on Thursday.

Matinpalo made his NHL debut in 2023-24 with a short four-game appearance and has signed a one-year, two-way contract extension on Thursday. The 25-year-old defenseman moved to North America from Finland in 2023-24 and spent the majority of his season with Belleville (AHL), picking up four goals and 14 points in 67 games played during the regular season.

Cousins is expected to draw back into Florida's lineup for Game 6 on Friday in Edmonton.

Cousins hasn't played in nearly a month as his last appearance came on May 26th vs. the New York Rangers but he is expected to draw back into the Panthers' lineup on Friday for Game 6 in Edmonton. The 30-year-old scrappy winger had 15 points in 69 regular season games but has failed to produce in the playoffs, with no goals, one assist, 20 PIMs and eight SOG in 11 games played.

Carolina has resigned Ryan Suzuki to a one-year, two-way contract extension.

Suzuki had 14 goals and 30 points with Springfield (AHL) in 2023-24 and has signed a one-year, two-way contract extension with Carolina on Wednesday. The 23-year-old was the Hurricanes' 2019 first-round pick (28th overall) but has yet to make his NHL debut after four AHL seasons.

Foegele is expected to be a healthy scratch for Game 4 on Wednesday vs. Dallas.

Foegele was amongst the extras at morning skate on Wednesday indicating he is expected to be a healthy scratch for Game 4 on Wednesday vs. Dallas. The 28-year-old winger has appeared in every game this playoffs for the Oilers, picking up a goal and three points alongside his 22 SOG and -8 plus/minus in 15 games played.

Cousins is expected to be a healthy scratch for Game 4 on Tuesday vs. New York.

Cousins has struggled in this year's playoffs with only an assist in 11 games played and will head to the press box as a healthy scratch for Game 4 as he is replaced by veteran Kyle Okposo. The 30-year-old grinding fourth-liner had seven points in 21 playoff games in 2022-23, but has failed to duplicate his success while on Florida's fourth line this year.

Suzuki has been recalled from Springfield (AHL).

With Carolina in need of playoff reinforcements and Springfield (AHL) willing to send Ryan Suzuki back, the 22-year-old forward has been recalled to the Hurricanes. Suzuki is Carolina's 2019 1st round pick (28th overall) and had 14 goals and 30 points in 51 games with Springfield this season.

Ullmark will start Game 2 on Monday vs. the Maple Leafs.

Despite a sparkling 35-save performance from Jeremy Swayman in Game 1, the Bruins will stay committed to their usual rotation in net as Ullmark gets the nod between the pipes in Game 2. Ullmark's last start came last Tuesday against the Senators, where he allowed two goals on just 19 shots in a 3-1 defeat. The reigning Vezina Trophy winner finished his 2023-24 campaign with a 22-10-7 record and a .915 SV% across 40 appearances. He and the Bruins enter action tonight as -140 favourites in Game 2.

Ullmark will start against the Senators on Tuesday.

The Bruins will turn to Ullmark on Tuesday when they host the Senators in their final game of the regular season. The game picked up some added importance after Boston's 2-0 loss to the Capitals on Monday, with the Bruins now needing to win tonight to guarantee a finish atop the Atlantic Division. Any dropped points would open the door for the Panthers to secure the division title should they be able to win their game tonight against the Maple Leafs. Ullmark enters tonight's action a 25-10-8 record and a .916 SV%. The bookmakers like his chances of securing a victory and the Atlantic Division crown tonight, as the Bruins enter action as -225 favourites over the Sens.

Ersson will start Tuesday vs. the Capitals.

The Flyers will turn to Ersson between the pipes in their final game of the season. Ersson has played superbly in his last two games, allowing only one total goal and recording a 20-save shutout in his last outing, a 1-0 victory over the New Jersey Devils. The Flyers need to win against the Washington Capitals on Tuesday and need help around the league to make the playoffs, but they enter action as -143 home favourites.
