The 23-year-old Tomasino has been productive since joining the Penguins, scoring four points (3G / 1A) in five games while averaging 14:59 time-on-ice, nearing four minutes more than the 11:18 he was playing in Nashville.

Ersson struggled on Sunday in his return from a lower-body injury, allowing four goals on 25 shots (.840 SV%) in a 4-2 loss to the Utah Hockey Club. The 25-year-old Ersson has a 2.83 GAA and .897 SV% through 12 games this season (5-3-2) but was playing well before his injury, allowing only seven combined goals in five straight outings (3-0-1) and posting a .940 SV%. Crotty was a third-round pick, 82nd overall, of the Arizona Coyotes in the 2017 NHL Entry Draft. He made his NHL debut last season, playing one game, but has exclusively been an AHL player. He has five points (0G / 5A) in 19 games with the Iowa Wild (AHL). In a corresponding move, Minnesota assigned David Jiricek to the AHL.
