Nashville Predators News

The Predators have placed Roman Josi (upper-body) on IR.

Josi was hurt on a hit from Bruins’ forward Anton Blidh last night and did not return. His immediate movement to IR is not good news and means that he will miss at least seven days with an upper-body injury. He joins PK Subban on IR as the Predators will be without both halves of their top pair.

Saros will start Saturday vs. the Rangers.

Saros surrendered three goals on 27 shots in the Predators loss to the Flyers on December 4th. Saros has gone 1-2-0 with a 1.70 GAA and .940 SV% in three NHL starts this season and has dominated the AHL, going 11-2-0 with a 1.76 AA and .938 SV% with Milwaukee. Saros will give Pekka Rinne the night off vs. the Rangers, who have won four of their last five.

Juuse Saros
The Predators have recalled Juuse Saros from Milwaukee (AHL).

Saros, 21, and Marek Mazanec continue to flip-flop between the AHL and NHL. Saros has gone 1-2-0 with a 1.70 GAA and .940 SV% in three games with the Predators. During his time in Milwaukee the former fourth round pick has gone 11-2-0 with a 1.76 GAA and .938 SV% in 13 starts.
