Forsberg was considered questionable heading into tonight’s game in Toronto but activated from IR suggests that he will return to the lineup tonight. Forsberg has missed the last 18 games but is expected to return to the top-line with Ryan Johansen and Viktor Arvidsson. Forsberg had 14 goals and eight assists (22 points) in 26 games before getting hurt.

Forsberg has missed the last 18 games with a hand injury and could be in the lineup in Toronto. Forsberg was on the ice for Monday’s morning skate but roared on the fourth line so it remains to be seen if he will play tonight. Forsberg told reporters that he is “feeling good” but it’s up to the coaches.

Saros stopped all 32 shots that he faced in the Predators shutout win over the Flyers on New Year’s Day. Saros has been strong in his last few appearances, stopping 76 of the last 78 shots (.974 SV%) that he has faced. Saros is 5-3-1 with a 3.34 GAA, .883 SV% and one shutout on the road this year.

Skjei was a healthy scratch for the last two games, but will replace Brendan Smith tonight vs. the Islanders. Skjei has one goal and six assists while averaging 21:51 TOI/gm through 19 games this season.

Skjei has been held pointless in four straight games and will be replaced by Brenden Smith on Saturday.

Golden Knights head coach Gerard Gallant announced on Wednesday that Haula is “month-to-month” but wouldn’t say if he needed surgery. Haula will likely be out until at least mid-December and could be out much longer than that.

Haula was stretchered off of the ice in Toronto on November 6th, but his injury remains a bit of a mystery. TSN’s Bob McKenzie reported that Haula’s injury is complex and the Golden Knights won’t know the full extent of the injury until he receives second and third medical opinions. It sounds like the second-line centre will miss at least a couple of months.

Saros gets the nod for the Preds on Tuesday after Rinne lead them to a 2-1 victory over the Ducks last night. Saros has performed well in limited action, posting a 7-2-0 record on the season. He draws a difficult matchup tonight on the road against the Sharks.


Jost has missed the last four games with a head injury, but is expected to play Friday vs. the Jets. Jost will re-enter the lineup with just two points (1G / 1A) and nine shots on goal in 11 games.
