Sturm did not appear in a game during his time with Minnesota and returns to Iowa, where he has 11 points (6G / 5A) in 23 games this season.

The Wild have recalled Nico Sturm from Iowa (AHL).
Sturm has 11 points (6G / 5A) in 23 AHL games this season and comes up to take Mikko Koivu's spot on the roster. Sturm failed to register a point in two NHL games last year.
The Predators have recalled Yakov Trenin from Milwaukee (AHL).
Trenin made his season debut earlier in the year but has spent most of the season in the AHL. The former second-round pick (No.55 in 2015) leads all Admirals players with 26 points (14G / 12A) in 19 games this season.
Spurgeon is expected to miss two weeks with an upper-body injury.
It is believed that Spurgeon is dealing with a broken bone in his right hand but the Wild are calling it an "upper-body" injury. Spurgeon will miss at least two weeks, so look for Nick Seeler to replace Spurgeon on Thursday and moving forward.
Johansson (upper-body) will return to the Sabres lineup on Wednesday.
Johansson missed the last seven games with an upper-body injury he suffered on November 9th in Sweden. Johansson was on the second line with Casey Mittelstadt and Jimmy Vesey in Wednesday's morning skate and will play vs. the Flames. He has four goals and six assists (10 points) in 17 games this season.
Bogosian (hip) will make his season debut on Sunday.
Bogosian has missed the first 22 games of the season but will replace Curtis Lazar in the lineup on Sunday. In his season debut the Sabres will go with seven defensemen to make sure everything goes smoothly for Bogosian.
Line Change
Foligno has served his three-game suspension and will play vs. the Red Wings.
Foligno will replace Riley Nash in his return to the lineup and will look to get things going offensively. Foligno has scored just one goal with six assists in 17 games this season.
Johansson (upper-body) will miss at least three games.
Johansson returned from Sweden with an upper-body injury and will miss the rest of the week. Curtis Lazar was recalled from Rochester (AHL) on Wednesday and will replace Johansson in the lineup on Thursday.
Suspension
Foligno has been suspended for three games for elbowing Pierre-Edouard Bellemare.
Foligno is questionable for Saturday due to a lower-body injury.
Foligno was forced to leave Thursday's game in San Jose with a lower-body injury and missed Friday's practice. Head coach Bruce Boudreau listed Foligno as questionable for Saturday's game in Arizona, so look for Victor Rask to replace him in Minnesota's bottom-6.
The Red Wings have acquired Robby Fabbri from the Blues for Jacob de la Rose.
Fabbri was originally selected in the first-round (No.21 overall) back in 2015 but injuries have derailed a once promising career. After posting 18 goals and 37 points in his rookie year, Fabbri has amassed just 36 points (14G / 22A) in 92 games over the last three seasons. He has had a hard time finding playing time with the Blues but that will not be an issue in Detroit. As long as he can stay healthy, Fabrri should be able to breathe new life into his career.
Hughes (lower-body) returns to the Canucks lineup on Tuesday.
Hughes missed Saturday's game in San Jose but will play tonight vs. the Blues. Hughes has heated up as of late, picking up six assists in his last six games. Ashton Sautner will come out of the lineup to make room for Hughes.
Hughes is day-to-day with a bruised knee.
Hughes left Friday's game with a lower-body injury and has officially been ruled out of Saturday's game in San Jose. Ashton Sautner will replace him in the lineup for at least one game.
Hughes (lower-body) is questionable to play on Saturday.
Hughes was forced to leave Friday's game with a lower-body injury that he suffered in an awkward-looking open ice fall. We likely won't get an update on Hughes' status until closer to game-time but the Canucks recalled Oscar Fantenberg from Utica (AHL), which suggests that Hughes will miss at least one game.
Line Change
Fabbri will be a healthy scratch on Wednesday.
Fabbri played 11:14 TOI on Sunday but will come out of the lineup on Wednesday with Sammy Blais returning from a thumb injury. The former first-round pick has had a very difficult time getting his career back on-track since missing the entire 2017-18 season with a knee injury.
Tarasenko will undergo surgery on his left shoulder on Tuesday and will be re-evaluated in five months.
Tarasenko left last Thursday’s game vs. Los Angels with an injury that we now know will require surgery. This is a devastating blow for the defending Stanley Cup Champions. Tarasenko has missed just 15 games over the last five years but will be out until at least late-March, effectively ending his 2019-20 campaign. The in-house replacement for Tarasenko appears to be Robert Thomas for now but with Tarasenko heading to LTIR, don’t be surprised if the Blues make a move for a winger.
Eriksson Ek (lower-body) will return to the Wild lineup on Saturday.
Eriksson Ek has missed the last three games with a lower-body issue but will play Saturday vs. the Kings. Eriksson Ek has just one assist in seven games this season.
Tarasenko (upper-body) will miss at least two games.
Tarasenko will not travel on the Blues two-game weekend road-trip because of an upper-body injury that he suffered in the first period of Thursday’s win. Oskar Sundqvist and Robert Thomas moved up in Tarasenko’s spot, so look for one of them to play an expanded role on Saturday.
The Wild have placed Joel Eriksson Ek (lower-body) on IR.
Eriksson Ek was set to miss his second straight game with a lower-body injury and his move to IR opened up a roster spot for Mats Zuccarello to be activated.
Zuccarello (lower-body) will return to the Wild lineup on Tuesday.
Zuccarello has missed the last four games with a lower-body injury but will play Tuesday vs. the Oilers. Zuccarello had no points and a minus-6 rating in his first four games with the Wild. He will skate on the second-line with Eric Staal and Jordan Greenway on Tuesday.
