No Jared Spurgeon at #mnwild practice
Spurgeon who was just recently placed on IR missed another practice today. No timetable has been set for his return. Jonas Brodin will continue to play alongside Ryan Suter while Spurgeon is out.

Tonight will mark the 5th straight game that Spurgeon has missed. However being back skating is a good sign that his return is not far off.

Yeo says Brodin will play with Suter tonight.
Brodin has only played two games in his NHL career and he is already being moved up to the Wild's top pair in the absence of Jared Spurgeon. If Brodin can play well while Spurgeon is out of the lineup he could stay on that top pair in the future.

Marcus Johansson will be a healthy scratch for the second game in a row.
MJ90 isn't fantasy relevant until he gets back into the Capitals lineup and proves he can stay there.

Spurgeon was expected to take a big step forward this year as he is paired with Ryan Suter, but so far 1 assist and a -3 in three games isn't the start fantasy owners were looking for. Spurgeon shouldn't be out too long though so don't give up on the young defenceman.
It's obviously only two games, but Tarasenko is currently tied with Hossa and Vanek for most points in the NHL (5).
The rookie Tarasenko has been the talk of the town in St. Louis. He scored two spectacular goals in the season opener and then added a goal and 2 assists last night. The kid is on fire and if he is somehow still available in your league, jump all over that and ride this streak.

Johansson has a chance to have a good season. If Johansson can stick with Oveckin and Backstrom he could be a good addition to your fantasy team.

Johansson gets another crack at the top line. In his third season, MJ hopes to improve on the 46 points in 80 games he earned last season.
In fact, Bogosian may begin skating this week. But his return date remains unknown, he'll remain on the injured reserve list (and still get paid) and it's not out of the question he'll miss the first month of season when it gets going.
Expect Bogosian to rejoin the Jets partway through the season.
Foligno for Methot is confirmed.
Foligno has dropped off the fantasy radar in recent years but could see a top six role this season with the Blue Jackets.

As noted in the Live Blog, the Rangers announced during the game that left wing Mats Zuccarello is out indefinitely after fracturing his left wrist blocking a first-period shot by defenseman Jordan Leopold.
Sounds like Zuccarello's season is over. He scored two goals and an assist in 10 games.
