Mikkola left Friday's game with a lower-body injury and did not return.

Mikkola left Friday's loss to the Flames with a lower-body injury after colliding with Ryan Strome in the third period. Mikkola went down to the ice clutching his left knee and had to be helped off of the ice. Head coach Paul Maurice said that Mikkola will undergo further evaluation when the team arrives back in Florida this weekend.

It will be Tarasov between the pipes for the Panthers tonight after Sergei Bobrovsky got the nod in the front-end of their back-to-back on Thursday. Tarasov struggled mightily in his last start, surrendering six goals on 25 shots in a 6-2 loss in Seattle on Sunday. The 26-year-old netminder carries a 9-11-2 record and an .896 SV% into Friday night's matchup, where the Panthers enter action at -110 on the money line.

He made his season debut with Florida earlier this week, scoring zero points in 8:23 time-on-ice.

However, his string of strong play abruptly ended on Tuesday, allowing five goals on 22 shots (.773 SV%) in a disappointing 5-2 loss to the league-worst Vancouver Canucks. The Panthers enter Thursday's game as +135 road underdogs against an Edmonton Oilers team with points in three straight games (2-0-1).
