Marchand was on the ice for the Panthers' morning skate but will sit out for a second straight game on Saturday. Noah Gregor replaced him in the lineup on Thursday, but Sandis Vilmanis will fill that spot tonight.

With Jones out week-to-week, moving him to IR was a formality to create a roster spot for Sandis Vilmanis to be recalled from the AHL.

Vilmanis was a fifth-round pick in 2022 and will make his NHL debut after 92 career AHL games with Charlotte. This year, he has eight goals and 11 assists (19 points) in 31 games. He'll suit up on the Panthers' fourth line with Luke Kunin and Jack Studnicka.

Eller has not played in nearly a month, but is nearing his return after being activated from Injured Reserve. The veteran 36-year-old forward has six points (2G / 4A) in 28 games this season, but had been held off the scoresheet in 16 straight games before his injury.
