Markstrom stopped 29 of 30 shots in the Canucks win in Colorado last Tuesday. Ryan Miller started the last two games, but Markstrom will go tonight vs. the Wild. Markstrom has won four consecutive games while posting a 1.71 GAA and .945 SV%. Markstrom draws a great matchup vs. a Wild team that fired their coach on Saturday and come in on an eight-game losing streak.

Barkov (upper-body) will not play on Tuesday; no timetable for his return.

Barkov suffered an upper-body injury on a hit by Red Wings’ forward Justin Abdelkader on Monday. With Barkov out, Nick Bjugstad will skate on the Panthers’ top line with Jonathan Huberdeau and Jaromir Jagr. There was no update on the severity of Barkov’s injury, but we should get an update in the next 48 hours.

Barkov left Monday's game with an upper-body injury and did not return.

Barkov was crunched in his own zone by Red Wings forward Justin Abdelkader and left the game with a potential concussion. Barkov has turned into a star this season and this would be a huge blow to the Panthers offence if he misses an extended period of time. If he’s out for any period of time, look for Nick Bjugstad to play an extended role for the Panthers.

Markstrom starts Tuesday in Colorado.

Markstrom allowed two goals on 30 shots in the Canucks win over the Bruins on January 21st. Ryan Miller started the last four games, but Markstrom will start the first game of their Tuesday-Wednesday back-to-back. Markstrom has won three straight starts while posting a 1.94 GAA and .939 SV%.

Ekblad (concussion) is expected to return to the Panthers lineup on Friday.

Ekblad has missed the last four games with a concussion he suffered on a hit from Matt Hendricks on January 10th. Ekblad is expected to play vs. the Blackhawks, but Willie Mitchell will not play due to an undisclosed injury. Ekblad has 19 points (9G / 10) and a plus-17 rating in 42 games this season.

Markstrom allowed two goals on 40 shots in the Canucks win in Carolina last Friday. Ryan Miller started the last two games, but Markstrom will start tonight in Boston. Markstrom has won three of his last four starts while posting a 2.17 GAA and .931 SV%. Boston comes in having won three straight and Markstrom was torched for four goals on 22 shots in his first start against the Bruins.

Reinhart left Wednesday's game with an upper-body injury and did not return.

Reinhart left after playing just 11:43 TOI in Wednesday’s loss in Colorado. Head coach Dan Bylsma did not have an update on Reinhart’s status after the game, so there is no word on the nature or severity of his injury.

Markstrom allowed two goals on 28 shots in Monday’s win over the Panthers. It was a huge win for Markstrom, who used to play in Florida and snapped their 12-game winning streak. Markstrom has won five of his last nine starts while posting a 2.18 GAA and .928 SV%. One of those wins came against the Hurricanes, who he’ll face again tonight.

Markstrom allowed three goals on 35 shots in the Canucks loss to the Lightning on Saturday. Since taking over for the injured Ryan Miller, Markstrom has gone 4-2-1 with a 2.23 GAA and .927 SV% in seven straight starts. Tonight he starts vs. his former team at Rogers Arena—Markstrom is 3-4-1 with a 2.70 GAA and .906 SV% on home ice this season.

Markstrom has won four of six starts since Ryan Miller was injured, while posting a 2.12 GAA and .929 SV%. Markstrom has played well and will start his seventh consecutive game tonight. Tampa Bay comes in having lost three of five.
