Jarry was off to a solid start to the season before suffering a lower-body injury on November 3rd, posting a 2.60 GAA and .911 SV% in seven games (5-2-0), marking his best start to a season in several years. The Penguins received serviceable goaltending from Arturs Silovs and Sergei Murashov, so it's unclear what Jarry's workload will be like when he returns to the lineup.

Nugent-Hopkins has been sidelined since November 8th due to an undisclosed injury, but he could return to the lineup on Tuesday against the Dallas Stars. Despite a subpar start to the season for the Oilers, Nugent-Hopkins provided ample production before his injury, scoring 16 points (5G / 11A) in 16 games. The 32-year-old forward is pacing for only the second point-per-game season of his career.

The Oilers will hand Pickard the start in the tail-end of their back-to-back when they travel to Tampa Bay on Thursday. Pickard turned in another poor performance in his last start, allowing five goals on 25 shots in a 5-4 loss in Columbus last Thursday. The 33-year-old netminder owns a 2-3-1 record and an ugly .830 SV% on the season. Pickard and the Oilers enter action on Thursday at +145 on the money line.

The Oilers will likely go with an 11-7 formation on Wednesday against the Washington Capitals, with Emberson drawing in on the blueline. The 25-year-old Emberson has three points (1G / 2A) and is averaging 15:44 time-on-ice in 16 games this season.

Tomasek will draw back into Edmonton's lineup in Washington on Wednesday.

The Oilers scored only once in a 5-1 loss to the Buffalo Sabres on Monday, and hope to spark some offence with David Tomasek replacing an injured Noah Philp (undisclosed) in the lineup on Wednesday against the Washington Capitals. The 29-year-old Tomasek was a high-pedigree scorer with Farjestads BK Karlstad (SweHL) last season, but has only three points (1G / 2A) in his first 14 NHL games.

Howard has been loaned to Bakersfield (AHL).

The Oilers faithful had high expectations for Howard entering his first NHL season, but has had trouble adjusting from the collegiate level. The 21-year-old has three points (2G / 1A) in 17 games this season and will hope to rediscover his scoring touch in the AHL with the Bakersfield Condors (AHL).

Hyman missed the second half of last year's playoffs after enduring an upper-body injury and has yet to play in the 2025-26 season. Hyman is just one season removed from a 54-goal campaign in 2023-24 and will hope to get off to a hot start when he is able to return.

The 33-year-old Pickard has an ugly 4.00 GAA and .836 SV% in six appearances this season (2-2-1).
