The Oilers have acquired Trent Frederic from the Bruins in a three-way trade that also included the Devils.

The Oilers acquired Trent Frederic and Max Jones in a three-way trade with the Boston Bruins and New Jersey Devils. The 27-year-old Frederic will add some grit to the Oilers lineup. He had 15 points (8G / 7A), 44 penalty minutes, and 155 hits in 57 games this season.

Nurse has missed two straight due to an undisclosed injury but will likely return to the lineup on Tuesday against the Montreal Canadiens. The 30-year-old Nurse has 22 points (4G / 18A) in 55 games this season but has been held off the scoresheet in eight straight.

The Oilers enter the action on Tuesday as significant -323 home favorites against a Ducks squad coming off a disappointing 6-3 loss to the Chicago Blackhawks.

Jarry has been in the AHL the last month and a half but Pittsburgh is desperate for a spark in their crease after allowing four or more goals in five of their last six games (1-3-2). The 29-year-old Jarry was serviceable during his AHL stint, posting a 2.67 GAA and .908 SV% in 12 games (6-5-1). In a corresponding move, Pittsburgh has reassigned Joel Blomqvist to the Wilkes-Barre Scranton Penguins (AHL).
