Gibson allowed one goal on 23 shots in the Ducks win over the Flames on Friday. Gibson has gone 4-3-3 with a 2.27 GAA and .924 SV% in 10 December starts. Gibson allowed four goals on 30 shots in a 5-4 win over the Coyotes in the first game of the season.
Gibson allowed four goals on 32 shots in the Ducks loss in New York on Tuesday. Gibson has gone 2-2-3 with 2.66 GAA and .915 SV% in seven December starts. Tonight he will face his hometown team in Pittsburgh and comes in at 4-4-2 with a 3.15 GAA and .907 SV% in 11 road starts.
Hamonic suffered the lower-body injury on Wednesday and was already ruled out for Friday’s game. With Hamonic out, the Flames have recalled Rasmus Andersson from Stockton (AHL) and Matt Bartkowski will likely play tonight.
