The Avalanche recalled Sheldon Dries from Colorado (AHL).

Dries did not pick up a point in four games with the Avalanche earlier in the season, but has two points (1G / 1A) in five AHL games with the Eagles. The 24-year-old will likely play on the upcoming two-game road-trip because the Avalanche are without Tyson Jost, J.T. Compher and Sven Andrighetto.

Gibson allowed two goals on 44 shots in the Ducks loss in Vegas on Saturday. Gibson has been outstanding to start the season, posting a 1.91 GAA, .949 SV% and one shutout in his first seven starts. Gibson will be busy again tonight. The Ducks have given up the most shots per game (37.9) and Chicago ranks fourth in shots per game (35.0) in the early portion of the season.

Gibson has been extremely busy to start the season, facing an average of 36.8 shots/60 in his first five starts. He has been equal to the task however, posting a polished 2.07 GAA and .944 SV% to go along with a 3-1-1 record.

Gibson allowed two goals on 39 shots in the Ducks overtime loss to the Coyotes on Wednesday. The loss snapped a three-game winning streak for Gibson, who has an impressive 1.44 GAA, .955 SV% and one shutout to start the 2018-19 season. The 25-year-old did not face Dallas last season, but they come in averaging 4.00 goals for per game in their first three games.
