Gibson will unsurprisingly get the nod between the pipes when the Red Wings return from the Olympic break on Thursday. Larkin concluded his participation at the Olympics with a Gold Medal victory for the USA on Sunday and is anticipating playing when the Red Wings return to action on Thursday against the Ottawa Senators. The 29-year-old Larkin was impactful at the Olympics, playing an integral middle-six role and scoring three points (2G/1A) in six games. Larkin has 51 points (26G / 25A) in 58 games this season and will look to continue his near point-per-game pace as the Red Wings continue their battle for playoff positioning.

Gibson will get the nod for 37th time this season when the Red Wings travel to Utah on Wednesday. Gibson pitched a shutout in his last start, denying all 21 shots he faced in a 2-0 win in Colorado on Monday. The 13-year-veteran carries a 22-11-2 record and a .905 SV% into Wednesday night's matchup, where the Red Wings enter action at +115 on the money line.

Gustafsson will draw right back out of the lineup after slotting in on Saturday. Travis Hamonic will dress in his place.
