Gibson left Thursday's game in Carolina due to an upper-body injury and will not return.

Gibson presumably suffered the injury at some point in the second period. He finished the second frame but did not make it out for the start of the third. Lukas Dostal will play out the remainder of the game. We should expect to receive an update on Gibson's injury and a possible timeline for his return following the completion of Thursday's game.

Gibson will start in Carolina on Thursday.

Gibson will be back between the pipes for the first time since January 5th after Lukas Dostal got the nod in each of the Ducks' last two games. Gibson took the loss his last time out, allowing three goals on 27 shots as Anaheim fell to the Jets by a score of 3-1. He has just seven wins on the season and an NHL-leading 16 losses to go along with a .903 SV% and a 2.97 GAA. He'll have a hard time snapping a personal three-game losing streak on Thursday with the Ducks being +260 underdogs in Carolina.

Tarasov will start Tuesday in Winnipeg.

Tarasov will start for the third straight game for the Blue Jackets and look to rebound with a victory after a disappointing 4-3 overtime loss to the Minnesota Wild on Saturday. The 24-year-old Tarasov has been very strong for the Blue Jackets over his last three appearances, collecting a point in each contest (1-0-2) and boasting a .925 SV%. That said, Tarasov and the Blue Jackets have an unfavourable matchup against one of the league's hottest teams, the Winnipeg Jets, who have won six straight games.

Copp (lower-body) is listed as a scratch for Thursday's game in San Jose.

Copp did not practice Wednesday due to a lower-body injury and was a game-time decision Thursday vs. Los Angeles. The 29-year-old has struggled to live up to his decently sized contract as he only has five goals, 17 points, 68 SOG, 18 PIMs and a -4 plus/minus in 38 games played in 2023-24.

Tarasov has allowed three or more goals in each of his four games this season (1-2-1), posting a .877 SV%. The Blue Jackets are +165 road underdogs against a Flyers club that has lost three straight (0-2-1) but defeated the Blue Jackets 5-2 on November 19th.

Simon Edvinsson has been reassigned to Grand Rapids (AHL).

With Olli Maatta and Jeff Petry expected to return to the lineup on Friday, Edvinsson's services are no longer needed and, as such, he has been reassigned to the Grand Rapids Griffins (AHL). Edvinsson played the last two games from the Red Wings, averaging over 14 minutes of time-on-ice, recording one point (0G / 1A), and registering three hits.
