Talbot stopped all 31 shots that he faced in the Oilers’ shutout win vs. Chicago on Monday. It was an excellent outing for Talbot, who has won his last two starts while stopping 62 of 64 shots (.969 SV%). Tonight he will take on an Avalanche team that has won four of their last six games.

The 29-year-old is 2-5-1 with a 3.26 GAA and .893 SV% in eight November starts and he faces a Chicago team that has won 10 of their last 12.

Gibson was pulled after he allowed four goals on 18 shots in the Ducks’ loss in Nashville on Saturday. Gibson has been terrible in his last two starts, allowing a combined seven goals on 36 shots (.806 SV%). The 23-year-old is 3-2-0 with a 2.77 GAA and .904 SV% on home ice this season and is a risky start against Connor McDavid and the Oilers.

It has been a struggle for the entire Oilers’ team lately, but Talbot has a good chance to bounce-back tonight vs. Anaheim.

Hamonic (arm) will return to the Islanders lineup on Monday.

Hamonic has missed the last three games with an arm injury, but he will give it a go tonight. Hamonic was expected to miss 4-6 weeks, but is just nine days removed from the injury. The Islanders will go with seven defensemen just in case Hamonic struggles with the injury. He has two goals and three assists (five points) in 12 games this season.

Gibson allowed three goals 18 shots in the Ducks’ overtime loss in Columbus on Wednesday. Jonathan Bernier got the nod and the win on Thursday, but Gibson is expected to start tonight in Nashville. Gibson has gone 2-1-1 with a 2.33 GAA and .913 SV% in four starts this month and he also won his first start vs. Nashville by stopping 28 of 29 shots.

Gibson has gone 2-1-1 with a 2.33 GAA and .913 SV% in four starts this month and he also won his first start vs. Nashville by stopping 28 of 29 shots.

Talbot had a great start to the season, but has now lost four of his last five starts while posting a 2.97 GAA and .897 SV%. Tonight Talbot will face a banged up Stars team on home ice. Talbot is 4-2-0 with a 2.58 GAA and .920 SV% in six starts at home.

Gibson allowed a single goal on 22 shots in the Ducks’ win over the Coyotes last Friday. Jonathan Bernier started on Sunday, so they’ll go with Gibson tonight vs. the Flames. Gibson has alternated losses and wins in his last six starts and carries a .914 SV% into his second start vs. Columbus—he was pulled after allowing four goals on 32 shots in a 4-0 loss in the first meeting.

The win snapped a three-game losing streak for Talbot, who was given Sunday night off, but will be back in goal tonight in Pittsburgh. Talbot has won eight of his 12 starts while posting a 2.36 GAA and .925 SV%, placing him firmly as a No.1 fantasy netminder.

The Islanders have placed Travis Hamonic (arm) on injured reserve.

Hamonic suffered a broken arm in Saturday’s loss to the Oilers and he is expected to miss approximately one month. Hamonic’s move to IR opened up a roster spot for the Islanders to recall Adam Pelech from Bridgeport (AHL). Hamonic’s injury likely means that Johnny Boychuk will move to the top pair with Nick Leddy.

As choppy as his play has been, he should make for a fine start tonight vs. the Coyotes.
