Talbot will start Friday vs. the Predators.

Talbot allowed three goals on 31 shots in the Oilers’ win over the Panthers on Wednesday. Talbot has won four in a row and six of his last seven starts while posting a 2.22 GAA and .912 SV%. Tonight he will take on a Predators team that has won four of their last five while averaging just 2.20 goals per game.

Gibson allowed one goal on 28 shots in the Ducks’ win over the Lightning on Tuesday. The 23-year-old netminder has gone 6-1-1 with a 1.36 GAA ad .957 SV% in eight starts in January and tonight he faces the Avalanche for the second time this season. He stopped 33 of 34 shots in 4-1 win in Colorado just last Thursday.

Talbot turned aside 21 of 22 shots in the Oilers’ win over the Coyotes on Monday. Talbot has won three consecutive games while posting a 1.29 GAA and .939 SV%. Tonight, Talbot will make his league leading 42nd start and it will come against a Florida team that ranks 27th in the NHL in scoring (2.28 GF/PG). Talbot has gone 12-8-1 with a 2.33 GAA and .919 SV% on home-ice this season.

Gibson allowed two goals on 25 shots in the Ducks’ loss to the Blues on Sunday. It looks like Gibson will go again tonight, despite Jonathan Bernier posting a shutout on Saturday. Gibson has been great in January, going 5-1-1 with a 1.42 GAA and .956 SV% in seven starts this month. He’ll face a Lightning team without Stamkos, Hedman, Callahan and more.

Talbot allowed one goal on 25 shots in the Oilers’ win over the Flames on Saturday. Talbot has won four of his last five starts while allowing a combined 12 goals on 128 shots (.906 SV%). Tonight he will make his fourth start vs. the Coyotes—he is 1-1-1 with a 1.96 GAA and .940 SV% in the first three meetings.

Gibson stopped all 34 shots that he faced in the Ducks’ shutout win over the Stars on Tuesday. Gibson has been unreal in his last seven starts, going 5-1-1 with a 1.54 GAA, .952 SV% and two shutouts. Tonight he is a must-start against the NHL’s worst team. The Avalanche have lost five of six and sit 12 games under .500.

Talbot starts Thursday vs. the Devils.

Talbot allowed five goals on 28 shots in the Oilers’ loss to the Sharks on Tuesday. Talbot has gone 2-2-0 with a 3.01 GAA and .899 SV% in January and one of those wins game in New Jersey last Saturday. He’ll face the Devils again tonight, he stopped 19 of 20 shots in a 2-1 OT win one the weekend.

As expected, Hamonic will be held out of tonight’s game vs. the Panthers. Adam Pelech will replace Hamonic on the Islanders’ top pairing with Nick Leddy. Head coach Jack Capuano said that Hamonic is likely to “miss a couple of games,” so don’t expect him to play on Friday or Saturday either.

Gibson allowed two goals on 23 shots in the Ducks’ win over the Coyotes on Friday. Gibson has won three consecutive games while posting a 1.62 GAA, .950 SV%. and one shutout. He’ll be in tough tonight against a Wild team that is 24-9-5—Gibson is 10-4-1 with a 2.36 GAA and .921 SV% on home ice.

Talbot allowed three goals on 36 shots in the Oilers’ win in Boston on Thursday. Talbot has lost three of his last five starts despite posting a strong 2.35 GAA and.926 SV%. Despite Jonas Gustavsson’s strong career numbers vs. the Devils, Talbot will start his 37th game tonight. He is 10-4-5 with a 2.59 GAA and .916 SV% on the road.
