Oettinger will start vs. Nashville on Thursday.

The Stars will roll with Oettinger between the pipes for a fourth straight game on Thursday when they host the Nashville Predators. Oettinger and the Stars have been off since Sunday when he saved 29 of 31 shots (.935 SV%) in a 6-2 win over the Calgary Flames. The 25-year-old Oettinger has a 2.43 GAA and .912 SV% in 20 games this season (14-6-0). The Stars enter Thursday's contest as sizeable -207 home favorites against a Predators club they defeated 4-3 on the opening night of the season.

Bichsel has been recalled from Texas (AHL).

Bichsel was the 18th overall pick of the Stars in the 2022 NHL Entry Draft. The 20-year-old defenseman is highly regarded in the Dallas system and could make his NHL debut with Matt Dumba battling an upper-body injury. Bichsel has nine points (3G / 6A) in 21 games with the Texas Stars (AHL) this season.

Bastian (jaw) will return to New Jersey's lineup vs. Toronto on Tuesday.

Bastian has not played since November 1st but will draw back into the lineup on Tuesday against the Toronto Maple Leafs. Before his injury, the 27-year-old Bastian averaged 10:29 time-on-ice, recording five points (2G / 3A), 21 penalty minutes, and 19 hits in 12 games.

Brendan Smith and Matt Dumba will both be healthy scratches on the Stars' blueline as Alex Petrovic joins Lundkvist returning to the lineup.
