The Predators have re-signed Dante Fabbro to a two-year contract worth $4.8 million ($2.4M AAV).
The Blue Jackets have signed Zach Werenski to a six-year contract extension worth $57.498 million ($9.583M AAV).
The Penguins have signed Danton Heinen to a one-year contract.
The Predators have re-signed Mathieu Olivier to a two-year contract.
The Canucks have signed Conor Garland to a five-year contract worth $24.75 million ($4.95M AAV).
Garland was acquired from the Coyotes last week and the RFA quickly signed a five-year extension with his new team. In Vancouver, Garland will play with either Elias Pettersson or Bo Horvat and has averaged 24 goals and 31 assists (55 points) per 82 games over the last two seasons.
The Devils have signed Christian Jaros to a one-year, two-way contract extension.
Jaros immediately signed a two-way contract with the Devils after being dealt from San Jose. Jaros has spent most of his time in the AHL over the last two seasons, so expect that to be the case again in 2021-22.
The Devils have acquired Christian Jaros from the Sharks for Nick Merkley.
This is the second time in seventh months that Jaros has been traded. After moving from Ottawa to San Jose, Jatos had one assist in seven games with the Sharks and three assists in 11 AHL games. In New Jersey, he will likely report to the AHL to start 2021-22.
The Canucks have acquired Conor Garland and Oliver-Ekman Larsson from the Coyotes for Jay Beagle, Loui Eriksson, Antoine Roussel, the No.9 overall pick in the 2021 NHL Draft, a 2022 second-round pick and a 2022 seventh-round pick.
Contract talks between the Coyotes and Garland broke down and it was widely expected that he would be traded. The deal ended up being much larger and more complex than anyone could have predicted, but Garland should be a great fit in the Canucks new top-6. Garland is tied for 99th with 78 points (34G / 44A) over the last two seasons. Garland will likely replace Tanner Pearson on a line with Bo Horvat and Nils Hoglander.
The Devils have signed Colton White to a one-year, two-way contract extension.
White was selected in the fourth-round (No. 97 overall) in 2015 but has appeared in just 11 NHL games since, including two in 2021. White spent most of the season with Binghamton (AHL), where he had one goal and six assists. Look for him to start the 2021-22 season in the AHL once again.
Olivier will be a healthy scratch for Game 2 in Carolina.
Monahan will undergo hip surgery and miss the final four games of the season.
Monahan has had an extremely disappointing season, scoring just 10 goals with 18 assists (28 points) in 50 games. Playing through a hip injury could help explain some of his inconsistencies throughout the season. The final four games are completely meaningless, so shutting him down now ensures he'll be ready for the start of the 2022 season.
Coyle (upper-body) is expected to miss the final two games of the regular season.
Coyle will be ready for the playoffs but is expected to miss the final two games of the season. With Coyle out, the Bruins will likely get a look at Ondrej Kase, who has missed almost all of 2021.
Wood (upper-body) will not play Thursday vs. the Islanders.
Coyle (upper-body) will not play on Thursday.
Coyle is day-to-day with an upper-body injury, so look for Karson Kuhlman to replace him in the lineup. Coyle should be considered questionable for Saturday's rematch vs. the Rangers.
Gudbranson will be scratched Wednesday against the Blue Jackets.
Fabbro is on the ice for warmups and is expected to be back in the Predators lineup on Wednesday.
Jaros will be scratched Wednesday vs. the Avalanche.
Jaros has been in the lineup for three straight games but will be replaced by Nicolas Meloche on Wednesday.
Fabbro (upper-body) will be a game-time decision on Wednesday.
Fabbro has been out since April 6th but could be back in the lineup Wednesday in Columbus. Fabbro scored two goals and nine assists (11 points) in 38 games this season. He will likely replace Alexandre Carrier if he can play.
