Manson got dinged up on Sunday and is questionable to play Tuesday vs. the Flyers. The Ducks continue to get banged up and if Manson can’t go tonight, Luke Schenn will draw back into the lineup.
Kamenev was scratched on Wednesday but will replace Gabriel Bourque in the lineup on Friday. Kamenev has yet to record a point and has played just 8:47 TOI/GM through five games this season. He will centre the fourth line with Colin Wilson and Tyson Jost on his wings.
Nichushkin has missed the last three games with an undisclosed injury, but will return on the Stars fourth line tonight. Nichushkin has just one assist and eight shots on goal in three games so far this season.
Roy was a fourth round pick of the Oilers in 2015 and has started the season with five goals and two assists (seven points) in his first six AHL games. The 21-year-old centre played one game with the Hurricanes last season.
Nichushkin will miss his second straight game with an undisclosed injury. Head coach Jim Montgomery said that Nichushkin is still fighting the injury, but it sounds like he is no more than day-to-day.
It will be Kamenev’s fourth appearance with the Avalanche after being acquired from the Predators last season. The 22-year-old had one assist in two games with Colorado (AHL) before he was called up last week.
Nichushkin took part in the Stars morning skate on Tuesday and is expected to make his season debut tonight vs. the Maple Leafs. The 23-year-old has not played in the NHL since the 2015-16 season, but scored 27 goals and 24 assists (51 points) in 86 KHL games since then.
Landeskog missed Monday’s practice but was on the ice for Tuesday’s morning skate and will play tonight in Columbus. Landeskog has one goal, one assist, a plus-3 rating and two shots on goal in the first two games of the season.
Kamenev did not make the Avalanche out of training camp and headed to the Eagles (AHL) to start the season. The 22-year-old had one assist in two games but has been recalled with Gabriel Landeskog banged up.
Landeskog did not practice on Monday and is questionable to play tomorrow in Columbus. The Avalanche are hopeful that he will be available, but Matt Calvert skated on the Avalanche top line with Landeskog unavailable.
Nichushkin missed the Stars season opener vs.the Coyotes on Thursday and is unlikely to play Saturday against the Jets. The Russian winger is considered day-to-day, so you could see him make his season debut next week.
Kulak was a fourth-round pick (No.105 overall) in 2012 and has appeared in 101 career NHL games with the Flames. The 24-year-old is coming off of a season in which he scored just two goals and six assists (eight points) across 71 games.
Nichushkin was drafted No.10 overall in 2013 and recorded 64 points (23G / 41A) in 166 career NHL games before leaving for the KHL. The 23-year-old had 27 goals and 24 assists (51 points) in 86 games with CSKA Moscow during his two years in Russia. Nichushkin returns to the NHL, where he projects to be a middle-6 winger.
