Granlund has been sidelined by a groin injury since the season opener, but will draw back in tonight vs. Vancouver after a five-game absence. Granlund, the Wild’s leading scorer last season, will be back on a line with Mikko Koivu and Jason Zucker.

Greer, 20, was a second round pick (No. 39 overall) in 2015 and has appeared in five NHL games since. Last season he spent the majority of the season in the AHL, where he had 15 goals and 23 assists (38 points) in 63 games. So far this season he has notched two helpers in two games—look for him to make his 2017-18 season debut on Tuesday.

Granlund has been bothered by a groin injury since the season opener but he was back on the ice for Thursday’s practice and skated on the top-line and top power-play unit, making him a game-time decision for tomorrow. Monitor his status during the pre-game skate, but it looks like he will return and it’s a huge addition for the Wild who are quite banged up right now.

Brossoit has made two relief appearances so far this season and tonight he makes his first start of the year. Brossoit has stopped 25 of 27 shots (.926 SV%) so far this season and comes into play at 4-6-1 with a 2.65 GAA and .912 SV% in 10 career starts and six relief appearances. He will take on a Hurricanes team that has started the season at 1-1-1 with 2.00 goals for per game.

Granlund has missed the last three games with a groin injury that he was dealing with in training camp. Granlund returned to the ice on the weekend and had a “good skate” this morning, which suggests he might not be far from returning to the lineup. The Wild are off until Friday, so monitor his status as the week progresses.

Granlund missed Saturday’s game in Carolina as well as Monday and Tuesday’s practices and after the session head coach Bruce Boudreau said that Granlund will miss at least the next four games, keeping him sidelined until at least October 24th vs. Vancouver. With Granlund out, Marcus Foligno is expected to start with Mikko Koivu and Jason Zucker.

Granlund was apparently playing through an injury in the season opener in Detroit, where he was held off of the scoresheet. The Finnish playmaker will likely be held out of the lineup Saturday in Carolina, so look for Gustav Olofsson to draw into the lineup as a seventh defenseman.

Poehling is a rangey player, standing in at 6-foot-2, but needs to add bulk to that frame. Poehling posted seven goals and six assists (13 points) in 35 games in his first season with St. Cloud State.

Vatrano played just 9:25 TOI and 8:00 TOI in his last two games and is reportedly dealing with an upper-body injury. Vatrano is day-to-day and will be replaced by Matt Beleskey in the lineup vs. the Stars.

Jensen, 26, has impressed the Red Wings since being called up in mid-December. The American-born defenseman has three goals and five assists (eight points) in 27 games with the Red Wings after he had six points (1G / 5A) in 27 games with the Griffins. He is a really strong skater and should be part as the Red Wings’ top-6 next season.

Brossoit allowed one goal on five shots after replacing Cam Talbot in the Oilers’ loss to the Blackhawks on February 11th. Brossoit has made three NHL appearances this season, stopping 57 of 62 shots (.919 SV%). He’ll give Cam Talbot the night off and start the first game of their back-to-back against a Lightning team that is 4-0-2 in their last six.
