Brossoit underwent hip surgery in the offseason and just recently finished a conditioning stint in the AHL with the Rockford IceHogs, where he posted a 3.39 GAA and .900 S% in three games (2-1-0). The 32-year-old Brossoit has battled injuries in recent years, not playing since the 2023-24 season, but has been an effective NHL netminder when healthy, posting a 2.64 GAA and .911 SV% in 140 career appearances (64-46-13).

Helleson will take a seat on Monday in favour of Pavel Mintyukov. Helleson has two goals and seven assists in 32 games this season.
