Greer was held out of Florida's game on Thursday due to roster management purposes but ultimately was never traded. Sandis Vilmanis will sit in his place.

Sandis Vilmanis will be a healthy scratch on Friday, allowing Greer to re-enter the lineup against the Detroit Red Wings. The 29-year-old Greer is averaging 11:38 time-on-ice and has 22 points (11G / 11A) in 61 games for the Panthers this season.

Given it's the final game before the NHL's trade deadline, there is plenty of speculation that sitting Greer tonight may be due to roster management purposes, but the Panthers have not confirmed that to be the case. Greer has appeared in 61 games this season, tallying 11 goals and 11 assists.

Greer missed Games 1 and 2 but will replace Jesper Boqvist in the lineup for Game 3 vs. the Oilers. Greer brings a physical presence to the Panthers' fourth line, averaging 3.75 hits per game in the postseason, but has just three points (2G / 1A).

Greer missed Game 1 due to a lower-body injury and, despite being almost ready to return, will remain out for Game 2 of the Stanley Cup Final as Jesper Boqvist continues to occupy his spot in the lineup. The 28-year-old Greer had two goals and three points in 12 games prior to his injury.

Greer missed Florida's Game 4 loss due to an undisclosed injury but will return to the lineup for Game 5 on Wednesday. The 28-year-old is expected to replace Nico Sturm on Florida's 4th line and has two goals and three points in 11 games played throughout the playoffs.

Greer is considered day-to-day with an undisclosed injury. Nico Sturm will play for the first time since Game 2 vs. Toronto to replace Greer on the Panthers' fourth line.

Greer has appeared in Florida's previous three playoff games but will head to the press box after being replaced by Mackie Samoskevich for Game 2 on Wednesday. Greer enjoyed his best offensive season in 2024-25, with six goals and 17 points in 81 games played, but will be a healthy scratch on Wednesday.

Mackie Samoskevich will be a healthy scratch for Game 4 on Monday, allowing Greer to enter Florida's lineup for his first career playoff game. The 28-year-old Greer recorded 17 points (6G / 11A), 130 penalty minutes, and 222 hits in 81 games this season.

Florida added some grit on Monday as it signed A.J. Greer to a two-year contract worth $1.7 million ($850K AAV). The 27-year-old left-winger tied his career high in points (12) in 2023-24 with Calgary, picking up six goals, 12 points, and 35 PIMs in 59 games played.

Greer will take a seat on Friday as the Flames look to get some fresh legs into their lineup for the tail-end of their back-to-back. Dryden Hunt will draw into the lineup in his place.

Greer suffered an ankle injury in Thursday's 5-2 loss to the Columbus Blue Jackets, exiting the game after playing only 5:34 time-on-ice. Greer has 10 points (6G / 4A) in 47 games this season while most recently playing on a line with Cole Schwindt and Adam Klapka.

Greer is expected to skate alongside Dillon Dube and Yegor Sharangovich on the Flames' fourth line in Tuesday's game in Montreal. Greer has two goals and two assists in 13 games with the Flames this season.
