Moore will be a healthy scratch on Friday, as the Ducks return to the traditional formation after rostering seven defenseman in their previous game. The 23-year-old defenseman has four points (2G / 2A) in 17 games this season.

With Lukas Dostal (lower body) and Petr Mrazek (lower body) both sidelined, Husso remains the de facto starting netminder for the Ducks and will tend the twine on Friday against the Washington Capitals. The 30-year-old Husso was excellent in his first outing as the Ducks' temporary starting goalie, saving 21 of 22 shots (.955 SV%) in a 4-1 win over the St. Louis Blues, but followed that up by allowing four goals on 21 shots (.810 SV%) in a dreadful 7-0 loss to the Utah Mammoth. The Ducks enter Friday's contest as +123 home underdogs against a Capitals team outscoring their opposition 27-9 during a six-game winning streak.

Strome will draw back into Anaheim's lineup vs. Washington on Friday.

Strome was a healthy scratch in Anaheim's previous two games, but will return to the lineup on Friday against the Washington Capitals. The 32-year-old veteran forward has three points (1G / 2A) in nine games this season.

Granlund (lower-body) is expected to return to Anaheim's lineup vs. Washington on Friday.

Granlund has had trouble finding his groove with his new team, missing two multi-week stints due to injuries, but is set to return to the lineup on Friday against the Washington Capitals. Despite his lack of consistency in the lineup, the 33-year-old Granlund is off to a solid start with nine points (3G / 6A) in nine games.

Mrazek (lower-body) is expected to miss the next two to three weeks.

Mrazek suffered a lower-body injury over the weekend and has been sidelined since. With Luka Dostal (lower body) already sidelined, the Ducks' crease currently belongs to Ville Husso. The 33-year-old Mrazek has battled injuries over his career, but is not expected be miss extensive time due to his current ailment.

Husso will start vs. Utah on Wednesday.

Injuries to Lukas Dostal (lower body) and Petr Mrazek (lower body) have allowed Husso the opportunity for NHL action, which he has seized so far. The 30-year-old Husso was excellent in Monday's 4-1 win over the St. Louis Blues, saving 21 of 22 shots (.955 SV%). Husso has shown glimpses of excellence in his 148-game NHL career, but has lacked consistency, ultimately leading to his demotion to the AHL over the past few seasons. The Ducks enter Wednesday's contest with even -105 odds against a Utah Mammoth team on a four-game losing skid.

Husso will start in St. Louis on Monday.

Lukas Dostal remains sidelined with an upper-body injury, so the Ducks will be forced to turn to Ville Husso between the pipes for the tail-end of their back-to-back on Monday. Husso secured the victory in his only other start of the season, stopping 23 of the 27 shots he faced in a 5-4 shootout win over the Kings on Friday. The Ducks enter action in St. Louis on Monday at +130 on the money line.

Buteyets has been recalled from San Diego (AHL).

With injuries to the Ducks top two netminders, Lukas Dostal and Petr Mrazek, the Ducks have recalled Vyacheslav Buteyets from the San Diego Gulls (AHL). The 23-year-old goalie has a 3.72 GAA and .878 SV% in three games with San Diego. He will likely serve at the backup behind Ville Husso in Anaheim.

Mrazek will start vs. Chicago on Sunday.

Mrazek will tend the twine on Sunday in a meeting with his former team, the Chicago Blackhawks. The 33-year-old Czech netminder allowed four goals on 27 shots (.852 SV%) in his most recent outing, a 5-4 loss to the Vancouver Canucks, and has allowed three or more goals in all but one start this season. He has an underwhelming 3.69 GAA and .881 SV% in six games (3-3-0).

Harkins will be a healthy scratch vs. Los Angeles on Friday.

Ryan Poehling will return from a two-week absence due to an upper-body injury on Friday, resulting in Harkins being the odd-man out of the lineup as a healthy scratch. The 28-year-old Harkins has two goals in 13 games this season.

Poehling has not played since November 11th, recovering from an upper-body injury, but he will return to the lineup on Friday against the Los Angeles Kings. The 26-year-old has five points (1G / 5A) in 16 games this season. Jansen Harkins will serve as a healthy scratch to accommodate Poehlin's return.

Dostal will be out 2-3 weeks with an upper-body injury.

Dostal is battling an upper-body injury and will be sidelined for two to three weeks, leaving Petr Mrazek and Ville Husso to battle for time in the Ducks' crease. The 25-year-old Dostal has a serviceable 2.81 GAA and .904 SV% in 17 games this season (11-5-1).

Petr Mrazek struggled replacing an injured Lukas Dostal (upper body) in Wednesday’s 5-4 loss to the Vancouver Canucks, and the Ducks will test their luck with Husso between the pipes on Friday against the Los Angeles Kings. The 30-year-old Husso is no stranger to the NHL, appearing in 145 games (71-46-19) with a 3.05 GAA and .901 SV%. That said, he has spent the entirety of the 2025-26 season in the AHL, where he has a 2.49 GAA and .908 SV% in 13 games (6-4-3) with the San Diego Gulls.

With Lukas Dostal (lower body) out day-to-day, Mrazek will be between the pipes on Wednesday against the Vancouver Canucks. Mrazek has showcased mixed results in limited action with the Ducks this season, posting a subpar 3.60 GAA and .886 SV%, but has salvaged a winning 3-2-0 record. The Ducks lead the Pacific Division and enter Wednesday's contest as -149 home favorites against a Canucks team on a three-game losing skid (0-3-0).

With Lukas Dostal (lower body) battling an injury, Anaheim has recalled Husso from the San Diego Gulls (AHL). That said, expect Husso to serve as the backup to Petr Mrazek during Dostal's absence.
