The Panthers acquired Garnet Hathaway from the Flyers to be A.J. Greer's replacement on the fourth line, so it's not surprising that they shipped out his rights. Greer is set to become a UFA on Wednesday, but the expectation is that he'll sign with Anaheim after they acquired his rights on Monday. Greer is coming off of the best offensive season of his career, having scored 17 goals with 15 assists (32 points) in 78 games while compiling 200-plus hits for the second straight season.
Wahlberg was drafted 39th overall by the Buffalo Sabres in the 2023 NHL Entry Draft, but has yet to make his NHL debut. The 20-year-old Swedish forward spent the 2025-26 campaign in the AHL, where he scored 38 points (9G / 29A) in 68 games with the Rochester Americans.
Anaheim has locked up a key piece of their defensive unit on Thursday after the team announced they had signed Ian Moore to a two-year deal worth $1.15M AAV. The 24-year-old is entering his second full NHL season after a successful rookie campaign in 2025-26 saw him put up four goals and 12 points in 67 games played.

The Ducks managed Terry's hip injury down the stretch, giving him plenty of morning skates off towards the end of the regular season and throughout the postseason. They said that his surgery is planned for the "near future" but his timeline for return is to be determined. So consider him out indefinitely.
Dostal has been mostly reliable this postseason, but the Ducks will need him at his best as they face elimination for the first time in Game Six against the Vegas Golden Knights. The 25-year-old Czech goalie played well in Game Five, saving 29 of 32 shots (.906 SV%), but lost 3-2 in overtime. He has a 2.75 GAA and .885 SV% this round in five games (2-3) against the Golden Knights. The Ducks enter a must-win Game Six as slight +100 home underdogs.
